'Muppets Now' Episode 6 Preview: Seth Rogen joins Fozzie Bear for bad jokes and bad boys babysitting
It's the finale of the first season of 'Muppets Now' and they may have saved the biggest guest star for last. Comedian Seth Rogen joins the questionably comedic Fozzie Bear (Eric Jacobson) for a one-on-one interview trading bad jokes, babysitting tips and in all probability, more puns than should be legal. The finale also brings in some new blood when Robin the Frog steps in to handle the Muppets' social media on Scooter's (David Rudman) behalf - though he leaves Scooter to deal with the flood of notifications flooding his inbox. Plus, legal lectures, competitive cooking and more!
While the Muppets all have social media counts of varying levels of activeness, there is no one official co-ordinator of their social media, until now. The youngest Muppet, Robin, is called in as the crew's social media intern and he's made Scooter the co-moderator of all the Muppets' accounts. Scooter already has a lot on his plate, however, and he's going to have to deal with a deluge of friend requests, DMs, notifications and e-mails while trying to upload the finale for Season 6.
This being the finale, Linda Cardellini and Taye Diggs allow Miss Piggy (Eric Jacobson) a lot more leeway than usual in their final 'Lifesty' segment for the season - although just what that means remains to be seen. One thing's for sure, it's going to see Miss Piggy hogging the spotlight just as much as a pig possibly can, but Linda and Taye knew what they were getting in for. Meanwhile, alliterative segment descriptions hit their peak as Chef Marina Michelson manages to manufacture the most magnificent meatball meal the Swedish Chef (Bill Barretta) has ever seen.
The official synopsis for the episode reads, "Muppets Now social media intern, Robin The Frog, makes Scooter co-moderator of the social media accounts. Scooter attempts to carry out this week’s upload amidst a flood of alerts, requests, and notifications. Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his assistant, Beaker, receive legal lectures and accidental assistance from Muppet attorney, Joe The Legal Weasel. The Swedish Chef faces his competitor, Marina Michelson, to prove his family recipe makes the most magnificent meatball. Fozzie Bear talks shop with fellow comedian Seth Rogen, while babysitting some bad babies. Linda Cardellini and Taye Diggs indulge Miss Piggy more than usual for this installment of Lifestyle with Miss Piggy."
