ABC’s hit sitcom series ‘Modern Family’ with its perfect blend of various cultures and quirky portrayal of the members of the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker households has emerged successful by retaining our attention for over a decade now.

Episode after episode, the series’ has showcased plenty of drama unfold within the newfangled family. However, with its run on television nearing the end, ‘Modern Family’ Season 11’s latest episode ‘The Last Christmas’ hosted an imperfect gathering, as all the members of the family tried to deal with their personal issues.

During what could possibly be the last Christmas celebration on the ‘Modern Family’, Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) reveals to everyone that he has received an offer from the University of Mussoorie to head their coaching team.

When the family expresses its disappointment in Cam and Mitch’s (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) consideration of moving to a new city, Alex (Ariel Winter) says she might go to New York for a new job and then, Haley (Sarah Hyland) reveals that she and Dylan are considering moving to Paris along with their twins as she’s thinking about working in the fashion capital following an offer she received.

While the latest episode left us uncertain about the fate of the family if the members part ways, it also focussed on the underlying issues within the clan. When Jay offers Claire (Julie Bowen) an opportunity to head his new dog bed business, she dismisses her father’s idea calling it stupid.

Meanwhile, through Alex, Phil  (Ty Burrell) learns that Gloria (Sofia Vergara)  has been interviewing with other realtors and that doesn’t go so well with Mr. Dunphy. We also saw Claire and Gloria get into a beef defending their sons when the family learns about Luke’s wrongdoings, which has left Manny devastated.

There has never been a dearth of drama in ‘Modern Family’ holidays. However, the last holiday throws light on some serious factors, which don’t seem like they can be resolved by talking over supper.

Since ‘Last Christmas’ clearly suggests that the family might disintegrate owing to each individual’s selfish interest, we need to wait and watch if at least the bond they have formed over the years can bring them together.
