Concept

In the episode, titled 'Bandemic Zone III', Young Thug sat down with the show's hosts, rapper/actor Gillie Da King and social media influencer and disruptor Wallo267, to discuss his music.

'Million Dollaz Worth of Game' also shared a video of the interview before it aired, and in the interview, Young Thug compared the recognition of his discography to that of Jay-Z's, saying that his own songs are more famous. "You got to think like we ain't talking about stream sales, we ain't talking about none of that. We talking about anthems, we talking about songs they know," Young Thug says.

He explains, "Like, when I perform, I got 30, 40 songs that the whole stadium gonna know. They gonna know these motherf***ers, all 30 songs." Gillie Da King then says: "That's some powerful sh*t," adding, "There's not a lot of motherf***ers that can say that."

"N***a, Jay-Z ain't got 30 songs like that, where the whole stadium feel the same," responds Young Thug, to which Gillie noted, "He got a lot though." Young Thug goes on, "Yeah. I'm just saying, like, I know he do. He probably got 50 of them b***hes. I'm just saying, like... I'm not just literally saying him. I'm just saying, like, n****as who you thinking the man."

"I did shows there by the brother. I don't see n***as like 'Oh, damn, I ain't know this song, n***a.' I'm backstage like, 'I thought they knew this song from him. They don't even know this f***ing song.' I don't even perform... N***a, I'm scared to get booed, I don't even perform a song they won't know." "I got them 30-minute set, n***a, and this shit got them 40-some songs. They know every song! It ain't no dull moment. Every song, n***a. Like, I ain't finna perform something they don't know."

Fan reactions

Young Thug's comments on Jay-Z have drawn a lot of attention from fans and it has begun trending on Twitter. It has also become a subject of debate with mixed opinions about it. "This new generation is killing me with comparisons to the older generation of rappers. The audience wasn't the same, the distribution wasn't the same, plus your benefiting on the shoulders of giants. Can you compare NFL salaries now versus the seventies?" said a fan.

One fan wrote, "He want attention so bad. I have to laugh. Evey Hov concert I’ve been to the audience recited every lyric verbatim." Another said, "Name 30 jay z songs you know by heart lmao ill wait." Another added a clip of a Young Thug concert with a pumped-up crowd and said, "Show me a Hov concert they going crazy like this."
