Miley Cyrus to cover Bonnie Tyler on YouTube's 'Released', fans already have their favorite covers picked

The new YouTube Original series 'Released' looks as if it's going to deliver a promising episode tonight. Miley Cyrus will be the featured artist on the episode. Miley’s 'Released' episode airs on Thursday at 8.45 pm PT/11.45 pm ET. Watch the embedded YouTube video below as a link to the upcoming episode.

Cyrus will be speaking about her new era, artists that inspire her, and more while Billy Idol is set as the interviewer. The punk rock legend collaborated with Cyrus on the track 'Night Crawling' from her new album 'Plastic Hearts' so fans can look forward to them sharing the screen in dialogue.

Cyrus teased the interview with a snippet in which she had to explain the meaning of the song 'WAP' by Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B. "Explained to @billyidol shortly after what a 'WAP' is..... I even taught him the viral dance. He’s fantastic at the cry baby," she wrote in the caption for the clip on Instagram, adding, "Set a reminder for my episode of Released on @youtube at 11:45pm ET." In her latest post on social media, Cyrus teased that she will be performing a cover of Bonnie Tyler's 'It's a Heartache'. "Feeling my own fantasy!💕#BonnieTylerForever @youtube released tonight @ 11:45!" she wrote on both Instagram and Twitter. Her teaser also came with her singing lines from the song. "For you," she sings in the beginning of the clip before saying, "This mic is just exactly what she has in the video," referring to the official Bonnie Tyler music video for 'It's a Heartache'. Check it out below. She then continues to sing, belting lines like, "It's a heartache. Nothing but a heartache. Hits you when it's too late. Hits you when you're down."



 

Fans on Twitter are excited for the upcoming 'Released' episode and have noted Cyrus is embodying the same vibes as Bonnie Tyler. "Her power i feel. Also wow this song is so good," says a fan while another writes in all caps, "I'M ASKING THIS SINCE THE MIDNIGHT SKY ERA OMG IM SO HAPPY, I CAN DIE NOW!!!" One fan wrote, "OMG I LOVE THIS SONG! MILEYYYY." 



 



 



 

Fans are also calling for more Bonnie Tyler covers by Miley Cyrus, such as 'Total Eclipse of the Heart', 'Going Through the Motions' and more. One fan asks, "Please do total eclipse of the heart miley I beg you." Another fan wrote, "YOU HAVE COVER IF I SING YOU A LOVE SONG OR TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART OR GOING THROUGH THE EMOTIONS BY BONNIEEEEE."



 



 

'Released' will also feature Cyrus debuting a never-before-seen live performance of her Dua Lipa duet, 'Prisoner', as well as sharing behind-the-scenes tidbits from the making of her album.
