G-Unit's Mike Knox drops music video for 'G-shit' from 'The Motivation 2', gets 50 Cent's approval
Rapper Mike Knox, most commonly known as a member of 50 Cent's legendary hip-hop group G-Unit, has released another project from his new album 'The Motivation 2'. The rapper took to his social media account on November 24, to announce a new music video for the track 'G Shit'. "My new video G- shit off my album Motivation 2 is about to drop on @thisis50 get ready to tune in call me MK #theunit," Knox wrote on Instagram alongside a preview of the video.
In the official video, we see Knox with his crew, rapping in a street race setting "somewhere in North Philly," according to the intro. As we can tell from the numerous skid marks on the tar, some serious car action may have gone down already before shooting. Sonically, the 'G Shit' track plays scaled-back layers of eerie synth strings and a traipsed trap beat while the rapper alternates rhythms and flows to spotlight his vocal gymnastics.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent also saluted the song with an Instagram post of his own. In his caption for the clip, Fiddy wrote, "Philly shit @mikeknoxofficial #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi."
Fans on Instagram are loving the visuals and the track, calling it "fire." For the video, one fan says, "Yaโll have to do a north Philly movie ASAP MK. Dope visual on this video." "You got it! This shit is so hard!๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ," wrote a fan while another says, "Houston we have a serious problem. And Mk ainโt even really flexing yet. He just warming up๐ช๐พ." One fan says, "North Philly ainโt playin ๐ช๐พ๐ช๐พโ โ๐พ๐ฏ." One fan noted, "He sounds like Pop Smoke RIP GOAT ๐ซ๐ซ."
The 'G Shit' visual follows the release of another new single and music video off his new album, titled 'Backblock', which dropped in August. In that video, 50 Cent made a cameo appearance. The studio LP 'The Motivation 2' arrived on August 14, 2020 with a total of 14 songs featuring guest appearances by K. Michelle, Freeway, Guordan Banks and more.
