Michelle Williams is now a MOM OF THREE as she welcomes second child with husband Thomas Kail
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Michelle Williams and her husband Thomas Kail have finally welcomed their second baby together. The 'My Week with Marilyn' actress, 42, and the 'Hamilton' director were photographed on Saturday, October 29, walking with a newborn baby cradled against the former's chest and the couple went for a walk around New York City. Williams and Kail are also parents to their son Hart, who was born in 2020. Meanwhile, the actress is also mom to 17-year-old Matilda, her daughter with the late actor Heath Ledger, who died in January 2008.

Michelle first revealed the news of her pregnancy to Variety in May this year. "It's totally joyous. As the years go on, you sort of wonder what they might hold for you or not hold for you. It's exciting to discover that something you want, again and again, is available one more time. That good fortune is not lost on me or my family," The 'Meek's Cutoff' actress gushed at the time.
The actress also spoke of becoming a mom in the midst of a pandemic. "It was a reminder that life goes on," she said. "The world we brought a baby into is not the world we thought we were bringing a baby into, but the baby is ignorant of that. He experiences the unmitigated joy of discovery and the happiness of a loving home." She added, "There's nothing that makes you committed to a better world than raising a great kid. It's the ultimate creative act. The most ecstatic moments of life and art are the transcendent ones. Having children is like that. You combine your DNA with someone else to create a new life."
Michelle notably gave her daughter Matilda and then-fiance Thomas a sweet shoutout while accepting the award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a miniseries or television movie for her work in 'Fosse/Verdon' at the 2020 SAG Awards.
"Tommy, like everything else in our life, I share this [award] with you," she said at the end of her speech, "And Matilda, it's one thing to be completely honest as an actor — it's another thing to be completely honest as a human being. And that's just who you are and how you live, and you teach me just by being you." She concluded by addressing her daughter, "I love you and I'm coming home."

Michelle and Thomas met at work as many Hollywood couples do. They worked together in 2018 when she starred in the award-winning miniseries Fosse/Verdon, which Kail executive produced and directed several episodes of. The duo did not start a romantic relationship right away, considering Michelle was still married to musician Phil Elverum, and Thomas was with his ex-wife Angela Christian. However, after their respective relationships fell apart, they found their way to each other and had a whirlwind romance, eventually welcoming a son together and getting engaged within a year.
