When will Future drop ‘Monster 2’? Rapper teases sequel to 2014 mixtape, fans say ‘don't play with our feelings’

The ‘Mask Off’ hitmaker posted a photo on his Instagram from one of his recent studio sessions where renowned music producers Metro Boomin, Southside and DJ Esco were working under one roof

Atlanta rapper Future dropped one his career’s biggest hits with his mixtape ‘Monster’ in October 2014 which cemented his position in the game. Thanks to his songs like, ‘Radicals’, ‘F**k Up Some Commas’, ‘My Savages’, and ‘Codeine Crazy’, fans have been begging for a sequel ever since. And, guess what, our wishes might finally be coming true as the 37-year-old rapper has teased a possibility of ‘Monster 2’.

Yes, the ‘Mask Off’ hitmaker took to his official Instagram account and posted a photo from one of his recent studio sessions where we could spot renowned music producers Metro Boomin, Southside and DJ Esco chilling and working under one roof. Future was not part of this epic picture but he did caption the photo as ‘Monster2?’ which sent social media users into a frenzy.

Future’s loyal fans stormed Instagram and Twitter to speak about the same. One user on Instagram said, “Please don't play with our feelings. We missed this team.” One posted, “Replace tht question mark with an exclamation my boy.” Another added, “Bring that same energy as the first one or we don't want it!” One shared, “For da culture we need dat.”

A few also took to Twitter to share their excitement. One posted, “If future releases monster 2 it’s over.” Another stated, “Another shared a hilarious meme and posted, “Future in the studio with DJ Esco, Metro Boomin, and Southside working on Monster 2.” One added, “My top 3 Future projects in order: Dirty Sprite 2, Future, Monster.”



 



 



 

There are slim chances of ‘Monster 2’ dropping at the end of the year, as Future has already entertained his fans with two massive projects in 2020. He dropped his eighth solo studio album, ‘High Off Life’, in May which also featured the hit single ‘Life Is Good’ featuring Drake. The record debuted at the number one position at the Billboard 200 chart whereas the song ‘Life Is Good’ spent good eight weeks at number two on the Hot 100 Billboard chart, marking Future's highest-charting single.

The rapper then dropped the much-awaited collaborative project with Lil Uzi Vert titled ‘Pluto x Baby Pluto’ in mid-November of 2020. The mixtape debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
