A young woman Kim Sol-ah (Shin Ye-eun) ends up bringing home an adorable white cat despite not being a huge fan of them in the first place. In fact, she says she hates cats and yet she brings him home. She believes that there are two kinds of people in this world. One, those who act like adorable dogs and others who love cats.

She even equates people in her life with different kinds of cats. She compares her father with a Persian cat who never leaves his window-side chair.

She has an on and off relationship with a man, Lee Jae-seon (Seo Ji-hoon), who loves cats and is, in fact, the person who hands her a white cat to take care of in the first place.

Sol-ah thinking about different kinds of women with her friend (KBS2)

Sol-ah finds it hard to understand Jae-seon. She likes him and if the way he kissed her in the park is any indication, then he seems to like her too. Yet he dates other women and that leaves Sol-ah in a flux.

The show is about Sol-ah, a cat who believes he is a human, and Jae-sun, who brings up the cat (Kim Myung-soo). The cat in the show is definitely adorable but he keeps remembering incidents where he sees himself not as a cat, but a human. Initially, the entire idea seems a little strange but then you keep at it and the episode sets up an interesting premise.

You see, the cat is not really Jae-seon's but he got the cat for his girlfriend. The girl dumps him and returns the cat because her future in-laws don't like a cat. Now, Jae-seon cannot take the cat home because he is allergic to cats, and the only other person who can take care of the cat, for now, is Sol-ah.

Sergei the cat, however, is not a cat. He can turn into a human when people are not looking. No, for now, we do not know how that is even possible but it is extremely hilarious to watch this cat-man go about exploring an all-new world.

The cat that can transform into a human in 'Meow: The Secret Boy' (KBS2)

He transforms into a human at weird time intervals and at one such time, he realizes that Sol-ah's father had just passed out and helps him get to an ambulance and then to a hospital. After that though, he gets lost until he comes across Sol-ah again as a cat and suddenly enough, transforms into a human again. He then follows her back to the apartment. Sol-ah, on the other hand, is going through a tough time after finding out that her father is not only in a relationship with someone, but is also looking forward to moving in with the woman and go to the countryside.

She also learns that he had been hiding his heart condition from her all this while. She ends up confessing her feelings about being abandoned to the cat-man assuming that it is Jae-seon without even looking at his face and when she turns around, she is surprised to find her car sitting there.

How this cat-man and his human become friends will be entertaining to watch.

'Meow: The Secret Boy' episodes air on Wednesdays and Thursdays on KBS2 at 10 pm KST.
