Melanie Martin texted Aaron Carter about Mac Miller’s OD in final WARNING, just hours before death
LANCASTER, CALIFORNIA: Aaron Carter was reportedly sent a message about Mac Miller’s 2018 drug abuse death hours before he was discovered dead in the bathtub at his Lancaster, California, house on November 5. The text was sent by his on-off fiancée, Melanie Martin, who was apparently trying to warn him against overdose.
Though the official cause of Carter’s death is yet to be known, his house was found filled with prescription pills and cans of compressed air when cops arrived on the fateful day. Citing Martin, the US Sun stated that the rapper was majorly sober for three years during their on/off relationship until "bad people from his past" came back into his life.

As per the 35-year-old, Carter was provided with drugs from those people only. At the time of his sudden death, the singer was living alone because he had apparently thrown out the beauty influencer a few days before the November 5 incident. But Martin has claimed that she never stopped caring for him, especially after getting “live stream clips from Instagram of Aaron appearing under the influence,” the publication reported. It also noted that “Melanie called the police multiple times but says they only ever paid him a visit on the odd occasion for welfare checks and didn't deem him sick enough for a 5150 psychiatric hold.”
Martin had also apparently pleaded to Carter repeatedly to get help but he did not listen. She told The US Sun, “I said 'Aaron, we love you.' I said, 'Please stop ignoring me. We've been down this road, we've got each other through it all.' He goes, 'I never said I relapsed.' I said, 'I have a video baby. You did. Please, please, please let me help you.’”
But instead, the mother of Prince reportedly got a message from the 34-year-old that read, “I want you gone for good. You'll never hear from me again.” Martin continued, “I sent him Mac Miller. I was going crazy because I'm like, this is not normal, I know something bad is gonna happen. I felt it. I'm like, I've never seen him like this ever."
“I sent him 'Mac Miller overdose and history of drug use.' I sent that to him. I said, 'This is what happens when people do what you're doing. I said 'It can happen to anyone.' I said, 'I've been doing my research.' He wouldn't respond to me,” she added.
Martin also revealed that she offered help to Carter by telling him, “If you wanna live another day, just call me back, and I'm going to help you right away. I will take you to the hospital.” In her desperation to save the ‘Aaron's Party’ singer, she apparently shared with him an image of a “drug addict” along with a message that said, “This is what happens when canned air is inhaled.”
Besides, Martin shared that when her continuous messages and worrying failed to convince Carter, she decided to directly go see him instead. She reportedly said, “I thought you needed a few days to cool off, with the whole me calling and being that nagging girlfriend; that's why I didn't want to be the one that does the intervention.”
“I was the girlfriend, you know, so he's gonna be mad at me if I'm the one. I tried to get help and I've reached out to TV personalities and they said they weren't doing shows right now. I don't even remember their names, they were on social media, but I reached out to them. I was trying. It was just hard. I didn't know how to plan all of this. I knew it was bad though, people are blaming me saying, 'You didn't get him help.’ I want people to know that because people are saying I did nothing,” she explained.
Martin added, “I wasn't feeling good that week too. I thought I had Covid, but I just had like a small cold too. I was going to bed early but packed to go over to the house in the morning. It wasn't like a huge bag, it was just my belongings. And I said, okay, you know, I'll see Prince [and] I'll go back to him, you know, it's time to come home.”
