'My baby is dead because of her': Aaron Carter's mother Jane Carter lashes out at his ex Melanie Martin
BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA: Aaron Carter's mother Jane Carter accused his ex-fiancee Melanie Martin of causing his death, saying, "Melanie did it." In a series of Facebook posts, Jane fired back at Martin saying, "My baby is dead because of her and her money-monger ways." She went on to say in another post, "Now Melanie is planning a vigil. F**k her. She drove him crazy and is cashing in at every opportunity."
"Los Angeles detectives promised me they will not sweep this under the rug. It will be a full investigation. Melanie is making money from his death at every opportunity. It's disgusting," she added. However, according to TMZ, Martin claims that the public posts made last week by Jane are totally at odds with the relationship she claims she had with Jane before Aaron died. Martin claims that Jane's attacks are so painful as they used to have a good relationship before the singer’s death. In addition to being untrue, according to Martin, it is also incredibly insulting.

When Aaron was still alive, Martin claims, Jane frequently thanked her for looking out for his interests and that she made it clear to her that she understood how much Martin loved Aaron. She claims that Jane praised and referred to her as a ‘good woman’ when she was helping Aaron have his teeth fixed. Despite this, Martin said that she doesn’t hold any anger towards Jane and her since-deleted posts as she said that she is "aware that everyone in Aaron's life is mourning differently."
Moreover, after Jane's posts, Martin claims that Angel Conrad, Aaron's sister, called her personally to apologize and inform her that the posts had been removed. Martin also claims that she's been invited to the memorial the family will hold next year to spread Aaron's ashes. She also noted that she was one of the few individuals who was still actively attempting to assist Aaron at the time of his death and claims that she, too, is still in grief while adding that she still hopes for a reconciliation with Jane.
Meanwhile, according to TMZ, Jane clarified that the family doesn't want a war with her but they only wish the very best for her grandson, Prince Lyric Carter. Just a few months before the singer’s tragic death, Aaron and his ex-fiancee Martin had lost custody of the baby amid substance abuse and domestic violence concerns. At the time, it was reported Prince was in the temporary custody of his maternal grandmother.
