Megyn Kelly slammed for dragging MEGHAN MARKLE into Will Smith-Chris Rock slapgate
Megyn Kelly has been slammed for making unflattering comparisons between actor Will Smith and Meghan Markle during an interview. The US television host said she puts Smith "in the same boat as" the Duchess of Sussex after he stormed the stage at the Oscars and slapped Chris Rock before delivering a tearful acceptance speech when he won best actor.
“They're so out of touch, they can't relate to anything real people are going through and to me Will Smith, I know people think he nailed it on his little speech when he won the award, I don't think so,” Kelly told GB News host Dan Wooton, before likening the actor's outburst and acceptance speech to Meghan "whining and crying" about alleged racists in the royal family.

“I put him in the same boat as I put Meghan Markle with her whining and crying about alleged racists who she wouldn't name in the royal family about how hard it is to be a princess,” Kelly said about Smith's speech in which he complained about being disrespected and expected to accept it as a public figure.
Kelly was referring to Meghan and Prince Harry's explosive interview with Oprah last year during which Meghan claimed there had been questions around “how dark” her baby would be while she was pregnant. The questions apparently came from a royal family member, but they declined to say who it was. She has also spoken out against her treatment by British tabloids and social media users since becoming a member of the royal family, despite feeling compelled to accept it as part of her identity.
Slamming both Smith and Meghan, Kelly said: “No one cares what title your kid is getting, no one cares. They have their own problems to worry about. Will Smith is up there like; people say mean things. No one gives a fig.”
Kelly reaffirmed her view on Smith with Wooton, saying: "You're a huge star, you're probably one of the top 3 biggest stars in the world... Do I give two figs over whether somebody's saying something not nice about you or how it's hard to withstand the barbs that come your way? No, I don't."
In an Instagram post, Smith has subsequently apologized for his actions at the Academy Awards event.
Soon after Kelly's comments went viral, social media users came to Meghan's defense and slammed the TV host for dragging the duchess into the conversation surrounding the shocking Oscars incident despite having no connection to it.
Even people who have been convinced to dislike #MeghanMarkle are embarrassed by this comparison! I joked on Sunday night ‘wonder how long the press will take to blame #HarryAndMeghan for this?’ If only I’d have specifically named @danwootton I could get a job writing @TheSimpsons pic.twitter.com/YsBOtUvQgm

Don't these people get fed up of mentioning Meghan Markle at every opportunity.

How the HELL are you going to compare Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars to a mum-of-two who was at home minding her own business at the time 🙄 pic.twitter.com/XSFoF9FyRf
It does seems to me that someone or something is behind this hate campaign against Meghan Markel. This constant headlines are not normal.

When are you guys going to shut up about Meghan. How can you compare Will Smith's action to anyone let alone Meghan. He behaved appallingly. He could have just asked Chris to shut up. No need to be violent especially in a ceremony that was watched millions.
