Megyn Kelly slams Meghan Markle as 'overly privileged incessant whiner', Internet says 'hope Harry wakes up'
Megyn Kelly did not hold back in her criticism of Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, amid the somber funeral proceedings of the late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Queen Elizabeth bid a final goodbye to her husband of 73 years in a scaled-down ceremony at Windsor Castle on Saturday, April 17. It has been claimed that Meghan Markle did not accompany Prince Harry to the event because she did not receive "medical clearance" from her physician. However, her decision to skip the royal sendoff sparked backlash online, and appeared to not sit well with former Fox News star Megyn Kelly.

Taking to Twitter, the veteran journalist shared a new The Economist-YouGov poll that showed 62% of Trump supporters disapproved of the Duchess of Sussex, especially after her ill-timed interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Kelly wrote that the poll showed how the public didn't "like overly privileged incessant whiners who think in a pandemic where 3m ppl have died & kids have been out of school for a year we are supposed to give a damn what title her kid is getting."

Several netizens appeared to nod in agreement with Kelly, with one saying Markle didn't understand the importance of "duty before self."
"Ms. Markle never understood the importance of ‘duty before self’ that is exemplified by Queen Elisabeth and indeed Prince Philip," one tweeted.
"I totally agree with you and Piers. And for the record, I’m a Democrat. I’m furious at Meghan and hope Harry wakes up. I can’t imagine how much Kate and William had to swallow to walk w Harry today," another added.
"The Queen is certainly not a whiner, and Prince Philip wasn’t, either. MM is more American than Royal. The Queen served for 70 years, MM only married for 1,5 years and then ran away. The Queen stood on a boat in the rain for 3 hrs at Jubilee, age 89: not whiny, but tough," a third chimed in.

This is not the first time Kelly has lashed out at Markle. The Sussexes made waves as they leveled broad allegations of racism against the royal family during their tell-all CBS interview on March 7. Criticizing the interview, Kelly noted how host Winfrey did not press the couple for specifics.
The Duchess had alleged that someone within the royal family had told her husband they were concerned about how dark their son Archie would be before he was born. Markle said Prince Harry “had spoken to a close family member on the subject of their future child’s skin color,” according to Oprah Magazine.
Kelly shared a clip of the interview, writing in the caption, “In which [Meghan & Harry] pretend that no royal has had it worse in the press than they have. Give me a break. Have you ever seen such privileged people wallowing in their own (perceived) victimhood like this?” The journalist added in another tweet, “Meghan’s only regret is believing the Royals that they would protect her and Harry. So she made no mistakes other than failing to realize how bad the Royals are.”
Kelly also posted an article about Markle's troubled relationship with her estranged father in a bid to emphasize her point. “Everyone victimizes Meghan! Everyone! The palace! The press!” she wrote, adding, “Even her dad – who had no money, no clue, and was swept up in a whirlwind of press he had zero understanding of how to handle – he too is a villain! She is – again – the victim. It never stops.”
