Spoilers ahead for season 2 episode 2 'Xaman-Ek' of 'Mayans MC'

Felipe Reyes (Edward James Olmos) and Dita Galindo (Ada Maris) are together harboring a deep secret. But we think we have a fair idea of what they are hiding.

In episode 1 'Xbalanque', we see that Miguel Galindo's mother Dita was horribly burnt in the deadly house fire from last season - an accident that she is still trying to cope with both mentally and physically. Dita's physical appearance is being taken care of by plastic surgeons but she refuses to do anything about her mental health.

When Dita finally finds a chance to escape her guards, she goes directly to Santo Padre and makes a visit to Felipe Reyes' butcher shop. But here is the eyebrow-raising point: she addresses him not by his new adopted name Felipe, but by his real name Ignacio Cortez - the identity he has pushed under the wraps since taking up the new name - which is the real name he used when working as a police officer in Mexico under the Galindo cartel.

When Dita meets Felipe, she says something that had us intrigued. "Our past doesn't just go away. We're all connected, Ignacio," she says. To which Feyes only corrects her with a "Felipe."

After all these years, Felipe is obviously surprised to see Dita. He then decides to take her back to her home. Driving there, Dita is on a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about the past, but Felipe is really trying to stay focused.

At the end of their very short scene together, Felipe asks her if she ever found out about something, but as she acts like she doesn't know what he is talking about, they are cut off.

Once she is back home, Dita says that she just happened to wander off into the streets and Miguel and Emily are more concerned about her than suspicious as to what she's doing with Felipe.

Inside the house, she finally agrees to get help for her mental health. When in bed, she opens a book and looks at an old photograph inside - the same photo she sees in the beginning of the episode and bid goodnight to her sweetheart. This time though, we are shown Dita open the photograph to reveal her sitting next to Jose Galindo, her husband and Miguel's father, with Felipe keeping an eye on them.

This got us thinking about the possibility that Felipe and Dita are having an affair during his time with the Galindo Cartel. If the affair indeed is a thing, it could be fully possible that Miguel's real father is Felipe - which, we realise is not good news since this news will only further strain the interpersonal relationships on the show.

This is only a possibility; there are several other unanswered questions that will only be answered as the season moves forward.

Episode 3 'Camaztoz' will be out tonight at 10 pm EST on FX.
