'Masaba Masaba': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about the Netflix series
Indian fashion designer Masaba Gupta and veteran actress Neena Gupta will be fronting a new Netflix series titled 'Masaba Masaba'. This new series is a fictionalized take on the life of this mother-daughter duo and here's all you should know about it.

'Masaba Masaba' will release on August 28, 2020. All of the episodes will be available to stream on Netflix.
Plot
According to a press release by Netflix, 'Masaba Masaba' is inspired by the designer's story and it is about to give viewers a look into the "contrasting lives she lives -- from the fancy dos she attends with her celebrity friends to moments she is crying into a bottle of wine on the floor of her apartment." This new series is a celebration of her life, successes, and failures alike but fret not, this is not about to be sappy at all. Instead, the episodes will be packing in a ton of fun, laughter, and tongue-in-cheek humor that is synonymous with her as well as her uber-cool mother, Neena.
The official premise of the series reads, "Real life mom-daughter duo Neena and Masaba Gupta play versions of themselves in this playful, fictional peek into their lives in fashion and film."

Masaba Gupta
Masaba Gupta is the daughter of veteran actress Neena Gupta and former West Indies cricketer Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards famously known as Viv Richards. She is an entrepreneur and her brand House of Masaba has managed to garner decent success in the Indian fashion industry. She also launched a makeup line in collaboration with a giant retail seller Indian website back in 2019.
Neena Gupta
Neena Gupta is a veteran TV and movie actress and director. The 60-year-old's career spans over 32 years wherein she's managed to garner innumerous accolades for her work in a number of TV shows as well as art-house & commercial films.
Neil Bhoopalam
Neil Bhoopalam is a critically-acclaimed actor known for his work on stage, TV, and films. He has earned a lot of praise for his work in the Indian entertainment industry, including his role in the adaptation of the International hit series '24' alongside globally renowned actor Anil Kapoor and veteran actress Shabana Azmi.

This series is created by producer Ashvini Yardi of Viniyard Films and co-written and directed by Sonam Nair.
Trailer
The trailer presents a very catchy overview of what the series is going to look like. Masaba will be seen dealing with the struggles that comes with being at the helm of a growing business, dealing with the various whims and fancies of her clients, tabloid articles and trolls tearing her down and the lack of male attention in her life.
