Martin Lawrence says Jamie Foxx is 'doing better' after hospitalization due to 'brain bleed'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The ‘Bad Boys’ star Martin Lawrence, also a friend of the 'Ray' actor Jamie Foxx, 55, recently gave an update on the actor’s health who is going through a “medical condition”. While receiving his star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, Lawrence said, “Well, I hear he's doing better…,” before adding, “My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him, one of the best that we got in Hollywood.”
He told Extra TV, “Not only one of the best entertainers, but a good person.” As MEAWW reported earlier, the actor suffered what doctors called a "brain bleed," according to AceShowBiz. It is believed that the bleed, or hemorrhage, was minor and Foxx will soon make a full recovery from it. The source added that the 'Project Power' actor reportedly was suffering headaches which is when he decided to get himself checked out. However, the doctors realized Foxx's condition and decided to immediately admit him to the hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Jamie Foxx ‘experienced a medical condition’
It is noted that while shooting for Netflix’s ‘Back in Action’, Foxx experienced some non-specified medical condition, for which he was hospitalized on April 11. His daughter, Corinne Foxx, 29, issued a statement on behalf of the entire Foxx family to share the news with the world. She however, did not specifically mention what happened to Jamie Foxx.
"We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday," shared Corinne before adding. "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers," and "The family asks for privacy during this time."
‘Back in Action’
While the ‘Collateral’ star is yet to be “back in action,” shooting of Netflix movie ‘Back in Action’ has resumed following a day’s hiatus after the actor’s health complication. During the time of his hospitalization, Foxx was shooting in Atlanta, Georgia. He was last seen filming on April 10.
The Netflix movie also stars Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close in lead roles. A source close to People informed the outlet that after Foxx’s complication on Tuesday, April 11, shooting stalled on Wednesday as the crew were re-arranging the set mechanism. From Thursday, April 13 onwards, shooting resumed with a stunt double and a stand-in filling in Foxx’s shoes in the meantime.

While Foxx is a prolific actor and entertainer, he rose to fame with the biographical film ‘Ray’ where he played the eponymous character of Ray Charles in 2004. For the movie he won many accolades including an Academy Award, BAFTA, Screen Actors Guild Award, Critics' Choice Movie Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the crime film ‘Collateral’ in the same year.
His other films include 'Jarhead', 'Baby Driver', 'Django Unchained', 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' and 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'. He has also been the host and executive producer of the Fox game show 'Beat Shazam'.
