For the couples of 'Married at First Sight', their honeymoon is not all daisies and roses, seeing that now, the couples are starting to have meaningful conversations. While the couples discussed their relationships, Gil brought up the question of politics. According to him, political leanings should not divide a home. Myrla strongly disagreed as she believed that political leanings are a deal-breaker. Fans were not thrilled with the direction of the conversation and were not pleased when they found out that Gil might be right-leaning.

As with most seasons, the couples found themselves spending time together at group dinners. Last season, fans saw Chris Williams and Virginia Coombs get into an ugly argument. This season, there seem to be disagreements again and this time, it was between Myrla, Gil and Ryan.

Fans took to social media to voice their disappointment over the whole exchange. "Where was Gil on Jan. 6th? #mafs" tweeted a fan. "Gil needs a list of casual topics to talk about while in a group setting because he clearly enjoys stirring the pot  #MarriedatFirstSight #MAFS #MafsHouston" added another. "Why did Gil bring up politics at this dinner??? Of all the things he couldn't used to make his point  #mafs #marriedatfirstsight," questioned a fan.

Ryan agreed with all of the points Gil was making and it made Brett uncomfortable seeing that she admitted in her confessional that their political leanings were rather different, and she was worried it might cause an issue later on. Fans seemed to have a suspicion confirmed through this conversation. "Gil sucks. It's obvious Ryan is a Repub. different political views is a deal-breaker. Just ask Virginia and Eric. #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight" stated another. "Ryan look like he got a red hat in his back pocket. #mafs #marriedatfirstsight" added another.

It didn't help that Gil went on to say that he would support anyone who helps further his career as an individual. Myrla strongly disagreed the entire time, as did fans.
"Did Gil just say he would support any politician regardless of ideology if they would support him professionally #MAFS" asked an exasperated fan. "So basically Gil, you think about yourself, in the moment, only when it comes to electing your lawmakers. Mkay. #MAFS" added another.

During this topic, the conversation at the table essentially saw Gil going on about his leanings while Myrla continued to disagree with him. Others on the table chose to be silent and did not engage. What do you think? Will Gil's political preference be a deal-breaker? Will Brett and Ryan be able to work through their differences? Sound off in the comments below!
