Mark Wahlberg reduces price of his uber luxurious 12-bedroom Beverly Hills mansion from $87.5M to $79.5M
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Mark Wahlberg updated the listing of his palatial Beverly Hills mansion by slashing the price by a whopping $8M after taking the property off the market in late October. Wahlberg listed the 30,500sqft home for $87.5M in April, but has now reduced the price to $79.5M. The 51-year-old 'Father Stu' actor reduced the price in an effort to sell his mansion, situated on Oak Pass Road in a gated enclave, nearly eight months after initially listing it. The property will reportedly rank among the top five most expensive house sales in Southern California in 2022 if he sells it by the end of the year.
Wahlberg has bought some land in Nevada in 2009, where he intends to move for a higher quality of life and lower taxes. After building his ideal family home there, he made the first step to sell his Beverly Hills mansion in April, 13 years later. The chateau-style residence was designed by the architect, Richard Landry, who previously built Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's Brentwood home that is now owned by Dr Dre, as per Daily Mail.

During a recent interview with The Talk, Wahlberg revealed he has bid the Golden State farewell in search of a "better life" for his children in Nevada. Elite Agent reported that he has already purchased two properties in the Silver State, a $15.6M 2.5-acre block of land in an exclusive area, and a $14.5M bungalow for his personal use.
Wahlberg paid $8.25M for the property in 2009, and development was finished in 2014. The house has formal living and dining rooms as well as a two-story entry lobby with a bridal staircase.
Visitors are greeted by a stunning two-story entryway that has a magnificent lobby with a twin staircase and lovely wainscoting along the walls. A family room that leads to a large library is connected to the home's contemporary living rooms by round arched halls that have a more Roman aesthetic.
There are 12 bedrooms and 20 baths altogether. The main suite has a fireplace, a private balcony, two bathrooms, and a walk-in closet. A two-story wood-paneled library with a fireplace and a chandelier is located on the main floor. The property's ground level is completely exposed to expansive patios and gardens. The house has a prep kitchen, staff quarters and offices in addition to a gourmet kitchen with two islands. The private retreat has a cutting-edge security system, a luxurious home theater, a wine/cigar cellar, a tasting/smoking room and a highly-coveted gym.
Outside, the expansive landscaped gardens are a five-hole golf course, driving range, tennis court, skate park, grotto-style pool and guest house.
The lavish property is tucked away behind guarded gates below Mulholland Drive in the opulent neighborhood with residents including Denzel Washington, Sylvester Stallone, Justin Bieber, Eddie Murphy, Samuel L Jackson and Lisa Vanderpump, to name a few.
