'MAFS' Season 14: Olajuwon slammed for being 'selfish' about Katina's education

While Katina wants to study ahead, Olajuwon believes he'd much rather be doing other things than wait for her

For the couples on each season of 'Married At First Sight', it is essential to go in without any hard and fast expectations. After all, marrying a stranger requires the cast to be able to compromise, especially if they want to make it work. It turns out that Season 14 may or may not have received the memo.

Katina and Olajuwon have hit quite a few rough patches this season. Unfortunately, it's been mainly on Olajuwon, seeing that his idea of an ideal wife can only be described as archaic. From expecting Katina to cook to acting in a certain way, fans have not been Team Olajuwon for a valid reason.

With decision day fast approaching, Olajuwon sat down with his coach, someone he looks up to in his life, to get some advice. The issue seems to be their future plans, as Katina hopes to study ahead and go to nursing school. But for Olajuwon, he's already done with that phase of life and was hoping to move on to the next, like travel and have kids. He felt like Katina's timelines would set him back, which would be the primary reason for him to say no.

Fans called him out on his hesitance to support his wife, accusing him of wanting a way out. "I really want Katina to get a way from Olay because he is selfish? What you mean you don't want to hear nothing about school? He's such a B.A.N. #mafs" tweeted a fan. "Olajuwon gonna make a big deal of this school thing just so he has an excuse to walk huh? Lol #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight" added another. "I don't knock Olajuwon for being over school, however, he's coming across as selfish while elevating himself as better than Katina because he can check that off his list. #MarriedAtFirstSight #MAFS" said a fan. "So Oil of Olay: - wants Katina to hold her own but doesn't want her going back to school - wants a maid but doesn't want to be a provider - focuses what she can do better but not what he can do for her My good sis deserves better!" added another.
