American country music singer-songwriter Luke Combs took to Instagram Live on Tuesday night, March 17, to perform the first of what he stated will be many live-streamed shows, as the US follows the disciplinary mandate of social distancing in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Like many country artists, Luke Combs has also had to scrap his live concerts due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The singer's headlining appearances at the C2C Festival in the UK had to be canceled when the music festival was forced to postpone.

Taking to Instagram Live,  Combs kicked off his four-song set with a cover of Tracy Chapman's hit song 'Fast Car', which was released in 1988. Combs also debuted a new song titled 'What Do You Do When It Rains?' in the live set. The CMA Award-winning musician wrote the track during a writing retreat in Florida, according to Rolling Stone.

In the live stream, the 30-year-old singer can be seen dressed in a camo fleece vest, jeans, and a baseball hat. He apologized for sweating while saying, “It’s hot in here. I turned the air off for this video."

Combs also played his big country-radio hit, 'When It Pours' as well as his breakthrough single 'Hurricane'.

Apart from his soulful performances, Combs also gave a shout-out to the World Health Organization (WHO) and encouraged fans to keep checking their website and social accounts. He said, “The World Health Organization is doing a great job of keeping everybody up to date,” adding, “Check their website, who.int, or on their socials @WHO."

Combs, who released his first EP 'The Way She Rides', in 2014, has two albums under the record label Colombia Nashville, titled 'This One's for You', his 2017 debut studio album, and 'What You See Is What You Get', which released in 2019.

Combs has numerous songs which have reached number one on Billboard's Country Airplay chart, including 'Hurricane', 'When It Rains It Pours', 'One Number Away', 'She Got the Best of Me', 'Beautiful Crazy', 'Beer Never Broke My Heart', and 'Even Though I'm Leaving'. His debut LP achieved both gold and platinum certification by the RIAA.
