'Love them both': Emma Roberts jokes about mom Kelly Cunningham posting son Rhoades' photo 'without asking'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Emma Roberts has tried to keep her two-year-old son Rhoades away from the spotlight for quite a long time. However, her mother Kelly Cunningham's recent Instagram post might have drained all her efforts.
Cunningham, who describes herself as "Gramma to Rhodes" in her Instagram bio, shared an adorable photo of her grandson on Friday, February 3, writing, "Little man is growing up!" About a week later, the snap came to the ‘Scream Queens’ star’s attention which led to her calling out her mother for revealing her son’s face without permission on Thursday, February 9. Roberts reposted the same photo and captioned the image by adding, "When your mom posts your son's face without asking but you love them both so whatever" followed by a pink heart emoji. Cunningham later poked fun at her daughter's message in response with a re-share of that post, writing, "The battle continues!! I love you Q!! Touche."

'Too hard to hide that sweet face'
Other grandmothers flocked to the comment section in support of Cunningham’s reckless posting, with one writing, "You tried!!! Too hard to hide that sweet face!" Another commented, "It must be so hard for you... when you have a beautiful grandchild you just want to show him off to the world! All good mama! it's a side view."
Kelly has spilled the beans about Roberts' life before
However, this counts as the second time Cunningham "spilled the beans" about Roberts' personal life. Back in 2020, the actress shared that her mother accidentally announced the news of her pregnancy. "I was keeping my pregnancy pretty low-key, but unfortunately my mother has Instagram. Mothers and Instagram, it's a bad combination," Roberts said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! "She spilled the beans."
Roberts recalled Cunningham direct messaging fans on Instagram and accidentally confirming the actress was pregnant along the way. "It was a disaster, and I found it all out on a plane so I couldn't get to her, I couldn't call her or attack her," said the ‘American Horror Story’ alum. "I could just iMessage with her and DMed her and ask her to please stop."
"She was like, 'Thank you so much for the well wishes, we are so excited,'" the actress said of her mother’s messages to some of her fans. "My friends were sending me screengrabs, it was like unbelievable. And then when I said to her, 'Mom you revealed my pregnancy,' she goes, 'Emma, you announced it.' And I said, 'No I didn't, that was a tabloid.' She was like, 'Oh, that wasn't clear.'"
