LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: An exciting season of Peacock's show 'Love Island Games' is on the way. In the show's upcoming season, the fans will get to see Cely Vazquez competing alongside her ex-boyfriend Johnny Middlebrooks.

Cely is a former soccer player with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from California State University, Sacramento. After completing her graduation, Vazquez worked as a legal secretary in the state criminal department.

The 27-year-old can fluently speak in English and Spanish. Keeping aside her legal career, she is also a singer and songwriter who loves to play guitar. 

Vazquez participated in 'Love Island USA' Season 2 and ended her run in the dating show as a runner-up with her then-boyfriend Johnny Middlebrooks. The pair parted ways a few months after the show ended. Along with this, she also competed in 'The Challenge: USA'.

Why did 'Love Island' Season 2 stars Cely Vazquez and Johnny Middlebrooks split?

Cely and Johnny, who were the runners-up of 'Love Island USA' Season 2, announced their split on social media in the year 2021. At that time, Vazquez shared the news of their break up on X formerly known as Twitter.

She shared, "Because you've all been such a close part of our relationship, I wanted to share with you that Johnny and I are no longer together."

The musician further added, "While our relationship has been public from the start, I do ask that you respect this decision and our privacy during this time."

Vazquez continued, "There is no reason to speculate, I am so thankful for our time together, but now it's simply time for each of us to focus on our personal journey."



 

Johnny also confirmed their split by writing, "Thank you so much for everything. I appreciate the time we spent together on this unforgettable journey. I will forever cherish the fun we had, the laughs we shared, and the memories we created. Thank you to all of the fans who loved and supported us the whole way through. Much love." Johnny's announcement came on his Instagram story, per People.

What has 'Love Island Games' star Cely Vazquez been up to lately?

After her journey on 'Love Island USA' Season 2, the reality TV star moved to Los Angeles and put all her focus on her music career. Since then, she has released a couple of songs including 'Don't Need You' and 'Only Me'.

Up until now, the 'What You Playin' For' songstress has worked with several talented artists and producers. However, seems like she's not signed to a music label yet.

What is the show ' Love Island Games' all about?

For the unversed, Peacock's upcoming show 'Love Island Games' will feature former Love Islanders from 6 nations including the US, the UK, Sweden, Australia, Germany, and France. The highly-anticipated show will be hosted by Maya Jama, while Ian Stirling will serve as the narrator.

'Love Island Games' Season 2 premieres on Wednesday, November 1 at 9 pm ET on Peacock.
