Dating can be quite tricky especially when one's with an ex-felon but then again love conquers all, doesn't it? The 'Love After Lockup' couples have proven how it's easy to tide over supposedly tough odds when two people are invested in a relationship and prepared to take on challenges as a team. Here's a lowdown on the couples who are still together despite the bitter arguments.

Jessica and Maurice

Jessica, Maurice (WE tv)

The couple recently welcomed a baby boy (as reported by Soapdirt) although on the show they have just learned that they are pregnant and currently, planning their second wedding. Jessica and Maurice got married in a prison but that was not enough for both of them. To help them get ahead in their plans, in one of the recently-aired episodes of 'Love After Lockup' Season 3, Jessica's father gave Maurice $1000 to help him buy an engagement ring for her. As the couple toured one of the churches of Los Angeles, trying to take a call if it would serve as a good wedding venue, Maurice went down on one knee and asked Jessica to marry him.

Andrea and Lamar

The couple has been having differences since they moved to Compton, California. The crime rates of the city have been a constant cause of worry for her. She was happy and content in Utah but she had to change cities so that Lamar could stay true to his parole guidelines. In addition to this, Tennison tried out weed, which heightened Andrea's concerns. She even got into a massive fight with Lamar over it. The bitterness has been constant, but they have learned to put a lid on it as and when required.

Lacey and Shane

The quarantine special 4-part 'Life After Lockup' documented Lacey and Shane's journey for a bit. The couple, who were a family of five, received the news that they were expecting triplets. Although, the pregnancy is at a nascent stage and the two are thrilled to become parents again. However, they also worried about the health and financial challenges that will dawn on them when the pregnancy progresses. Shane doesn't have a job and therefore, supporting a family of eight might get tough with time. Let's hope the couple is able to sail through.

Brittany and Marcelino

Brittany and Marcelino, who featured in the same show as Lacy and Shane, were one of the troubled couples before. While he tried to control almost every aspect of his relationship with Brittany, she was more focused on her ex-girlfriend from prison who almost got thrown into the mix. But those days are well past them. The couple now focuses on their family; they recently welcomed their second baby together. Brittany and Marcelino are writing books now.

Mary and Dominic

Even though they have not been part of the show or its spin-offs ever since their season - Season 1 - the couple is very much together and spending their lives with each other happily. Interestingly, Mary in an open letter accused the channel of not signing them for a different version of 'Love After Lockup,' Screenrant reported.

However, all are not as lucky as the five couples we have listed above. Most of those who appeared on the WE tv-backed show have moved on with different people after filming ended. So, it is not always a happy ending for some of the pairs but then again, they bring drama to the show, which helps it thrive longer.

Catch 'Love After Lockup' Season 3 on WE tv every Friday at 9/8c. For more information, check your local listings.
