Update: Lindsey Pearlman's cause of death has been confirmed following an autopsy by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner. The coroner ruled her death as a suicide caused by sodium nitrite toxicity.  The report also noted that "the presence of non-toxic levels of lorazepam, metoclopramide, and codeine" were found in Lindsey's system.

On February 18, Lindsey Pearlman, a 43-year-old actress, was found inside her car in a Hollywood park. Two suicide notes were recovered in Runyon Canyon Park in Hollywood three days after the television actress from 'Chicago Justice' and 'General Hospital' vanished. She had two suicide notes in her possession, one in her car and the other at home.

According to TMZ, the note instructed whoever discovered her to phone 911. Pearlman, who played Joy Fletcher on Chicago Justice, called her husband Vance Smith the day before the alleged suicide and told him she was about to die by suicide. In an attempt to locate her, Smith called the cops.

TMZ said that she overdosed and had suffered from depression for many years, despite the fact that the coroner has not given a cause of death. The celebrity also called her cousin from half-a-mile away from where her body was discovered, according to phone records.

On February 18, Pearlman's husband, Vance Smith, publicly disclosed his wife's tragic death on social media. "The police found Lindsey," Smith wrote. "I'm gone. I'm broken. I will share more later, but I wanted to thank you to everyone for their love and efforts and ask you to respect the privacy of her family at this time."

Marni, her 46-year-older sister, said on Facebook on Saturday: "Thank you to everyone who helped spread the news to search for my sister. She’s been found. She is gone. We are broken. Please respect our privacy at this time."

On Twitter, Elaine Hendrix, who played Meredith Blake in the film The Parent Trap, paid tribute to her buddy.

Savannah Pearlman, her cousin, stated on Twitter: "I'm deeply sad to report that they have found Lindsey, and it was too late. I have no other information about the location or circumstance. Lindsey was a fierce animal advocate and a talented actress. Please consider a donation to @SanteDOr in her honor."

On February 13, the actress was last spotted on Franklin Avenue and North Sierra Bonita Avenue in Hollywood, near Runyon Canyon Park. When authorities discovered Pearlman's body, there were pills strewn throughout the vehicle, according to a security guard working on a film in nearby Runyon Canyon.

The actress grew up in Chicago and went to the Second City Conservatory to study comedy. After relocating to California, she landed a recurring role as Joy Fletcher on NBC's Chicago Justice in 2017, as well as appearances in 'Sneaky Pete', 'American Housewife', and 'Selena: The Series'. The actress was last spotted on February 13 in Hollywood, close to Runyon Canyon Park, around Franklin Avenue and North Sierra Bonita Avenue.
