Missing TV actress Lindsey Pearlman who was found dead inside her car on Friday, February 18, is believed to have died by suicide. Known for her roles in ‘General Hospital’, ‘Chicago Justice’ and ‘Empire’, the 43-year-old actress had been missing since February 13, until cops found her body in Runyon Canyon in Hollywood. She was allegedly seen wrapped in a blanket with pills everywhere in her car.

Though the exact cause of her death has not been revealed by the police, Lindsey Pearlman’s sister Marni hinted that she killed herself. In a social media post, Marni Pearlman advocated for suicide awareness and prevention by sharing a hotline number for anyone struggling with their mental health. “Thank you to everyone who helped spread the news to search for my sister. She’s been found. She is gone. We are broken. Please respect our privacy at this time,” Marni Pearlman wrote on Facebook earlier.

Marni shared her message on Twitter via her cousin Savannah Pearlman, who tweeted on Saturday, “Please know that you are never truly alone. Lindsey's sister has asked that we share the National Suicide Hotline: 1-800-273-8255.”

The 43-year-old actress’ husband, Vance Smith, wrote on social media: “The police found Lindsey. She’s gone. I’m broken. I will share more later, but I wanted to say thank you to everyone for their love and efforts and ask you to respect the privacy of her family at this time.”

After Lindsey’s identity was confirmed by the Los Angeles County coroner's office, the LAPD released a statement that read: “Today around 8:30 am Hollywood Area officers responded to a radio call for a death investigation at Franklin Avenue and North Sierra Bonita Avenue. The LA County Coroner's Office has since confirmed the individual to be Lindsey Erin Pearlman.”

Pearlman’s agent, Michael Chiaverini, also issued a statement saying, “We are deeply saddened by Lindsey Pearlman’s passing today. The family has asked for privacy during this difficult time while they process and grieve.”

Pearlman, a recipient of the Joseph Jefferson Award, was also an activist for animals and humans, according to her website bio. However, not much is known about her personal life and whether she was struggling with mental health. Details of the investigation are still under wraps as the coroner is yet to officially declare the cause of her death.
