The search for a television actress, who had been missing for a number of days, has come to an end. But unfortunately, she had a tragic end. Lindsey Pearlman, known for working in television series, like ‘Chicago Justice’ and ‘Empire’, was last seen in Hollywood on Sunday, February 13. However, she was found dead inside her car on Friday morning, February 18, near an entrance to hiking trails in Hollywood, authorities said.

A security guard working on a film in nearby Runyon Canyon said that when Pearlman’s body was found by cops, pills were found spread here and there inside her car. She was also allegedly seen wrapped in a blanket. After the horrific discovery and after her identity was confirmed by the Los Angeles County coroner's office, the LAPD released a statement that read: “Today around 8:30 am Hollywood Area officers responded to a radio call for a death investigation at Franklin Avenue and North Sierra Bonita Avenue. The LA County Coroner's Office has since confirmed the individual to be Lindsey Erin Pearlman.”

Pearlman’s agent, Michael Chiaverini, also issued a statement saying, “We are deeply saddened by Lindsey Pearlman’s passing today. The family has asked for privacy during this difficult time while they process and grieve.” The 43-year-old actress’ husband, Vance Smith, wrote on social media: “The police found Lindsey. She’s gone. I’m broken. I will share more later, but I wanted to say thank you to everyone for their love and efforts and ask you to respect the privacy of her family at this time.”

According to Pearlman’s bio on IMDb, she “was a recipient of the prestigious Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Principal Role, for her work in the play ‘NEVER THE BRIDESMAID’. A graduate of The Second City Conservatory, she has toured the world with Catharsis Productions' SEX SIGNALS, using improv and comedy to address the difficult issue of sexual assault on college campuses and military installations.”

It added: “She also toured the US with Second City's production of THE REALISH HOUSEWIVES, in which Pearlman received much critical praise. Her other favorite onstage work includes Northlight Theatre's production of THE MOUSETRAP, A Red Orchid Theatre's production of TREVOR, and many more.” Besides, Pearlman’s website describes her as an “activist for animals and humans.”

After her death, Twitter was full of condolence messages and tributes. A user, Mel Margason, tweeted: “Thank you #LindseyPearlman for being my first best friend, the weirdest one in the room, the funnest girl at the sleepover. My 1st 10 years would've sucked w/o you. Booger notes, sister fights, Winds of Change on repeat. XO.” Another user wrote, “How awful. Condolences to her family and friends. I guess the most we can hope for is that her passing was peaceful.” The third user noted: “I am really sorry for the family's loss, My condolences go to them. Rest in peace.” A message read, “Those are very saddening news, she shall rest in Peace. My thoughts and condolences to her family and friends.”

We were devastated to learn police found a body this morning that was later determined to be Lindsey Pearlman. We don’t have any information to share at the moment, but we wanted to thank everyone who did their part (1/2) to help look for Lindsey. Please keep her family and loved ones in your thoughts and respect their privacy during this time. (2/2).”
