Lily Collins dating history: 'Emily in Paris' star says past 'abuse' haunts her even after marriage
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'To the Bone' star Lily Collins recently recalled an abusive relationship she went through in her early 20s that apart from having a psychological impact on her, had also led to physical complications. Collins, who began performing on screen at the age of two in the BBC sitcom 'Growing Pains', reportedly said that her toxic relationship "was a lot of verbal and emotional abuse and being made to feel very small."
On February 8, 2023, speaking on the 'We Can Do Hard Things with Glennon Doyle' podcast Collins said, "I became quite silent and comfortable in silence and feeling like I had to make myself small to feel super safe...My skin was breaking out. I was having these panic attacks and I had kidney infections." Eventually, she was able to come out of the toxic relationship and make a successful career out of her acting skills. She is now a popular face, portraying the role of Emily Cooper in the Netflix series 'Emily in Paris'.

Before tying the knot with director Charlie McDowell, who she reportedly met on the sets of 'Gilded Rage' in 2021, Collins had a string of relationships with some of the big names in the industry. Collins reportedly started dating Taylor Lautner, best known for playing the role of Jacob Black in 'The Twilight Saga' film series in 2010, when they were filming for the movie. "You can feel some sort of chemistry or a connection when you are reading a script with someone for the first time. And that was totally the case with Lily," Lautner told Seventeen magazine, US Weekly reported.
Zac Efron
In 2012, Collins reportedly had a short casual relationship with Zac Efron. As per a US Weekly report, the two were first spotted holding hands during a friend's birthday dinner at the LA eatery STK on February 8, 2012, but split after three months that same year.
Jamie Campbell Bower
After her split with Efron, Collins reportedly dated her 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones' co-star Jamie Campbell Bower for a year before splitting in August 2013. The stars reportedly got back together in 2015 before splitting up for good.
