When Lil Nas X entered the stage to headline a Florida music festival on Sunday, December 5, it was just not his day. The 'Industry Baby' singer slumped over while performing at the Audacy Beach Festival in Fort Lauderdale, trying to avert a wardrobe malfunction in a metallic pink gladiator skirt. Thankfully, he recovered swiftly, rising to his feet.

Nas had an unpleasant wardrobe malfunction during his 'Saturday Night Live' appearance in May, shredding his trousers while pole dancing to his famous song 'Montero (Call Me By Your Name)'. In an effort to prevent repeating the incident, he subsequently quipped that he'd "never trust pants again," but it appears that even his backup plan backfired during the performance at the Audacy Beach Festival in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Nas, who was dressed in a bright pink ensemble that included bondage belts, a crop top and a gleaming skirt, fell during his performance when the skirt ripped in the back. He tried to awkwardly jump off the stage to his left in an attempt to avoid revealing his hindquarters only to trip and land directly on the area he was attempting to cover, exposing practically everything under the skirt nevertheless.

On Instagram, he captioned a carousel of photographs and videos recording the occasion, "Swipe to see me being the king of bussin my ass on stage, The universe was determined to embarrass me yesterday lmao.” He then retweeted an image of another fan's pledge to wear skirts, in which the fan correctly identified Nas' remark as one of the "Top 10 tweets that aged horribly." Nas has handled his tumble in stride as usual, but there's no news yet on what he's considering wearing on stage instead of skirts.

Many social media users expressed themselves. One person commented, “Great legs.  Wardrobe malfunction proof underwear.  Yet still, you soldiered on giving yet another great performance. The mark of a true professional.” Another user questioned, “Why his clothes always malfunctioning?? Somebody get him better clothes”. “You got 3 more falls in you before you land like Beyoncé at the Superbowl,” yet another person remarked.
