Le Sserafim: Who are the 6 members of HYBE's new K-pop girl group
The debut date of Le Sserafim is now closer than ever. The girl group first turned heads when it was announced that Kim Chaewon and Miyawaki Sakura of the popular third-gen group IZ*ONE would be re-debuting in Le Sserafim. With HYBE being home to several iconic K-pop groups like BTS, TXT and Enhypen, K-pop fans were excited to see what their new girl group had in store. Le Sserafim is HYBE’s first girl group in collaboration with Source Music, the label that was in charge of the leading girl group GFriend.
It was also announced that Bang PD, the founder of HYBE would be heading the production of Le Sserafim’s debut album. Three of the members were familiar faces as they had participated in the survival show ‘Produce 48’ that formed IZ*ONE. The group also surprised everyone as they recruited a ballerina from the Netherlands. Well, with Le Sserafim set to debut in May, here’s everything we know about the six members.

The 6 members of Le Sserafim
HYBE had shared that the name of the group Le Sserafim (LESSERAFIM) was an anagram for ‘I am fearless’. They wanted this to be the motto for the girls. The name is also a play on the word ‘Le Seraphim’ which means ‘the Seraphim’, an angel who has six wings. There are currently six members set to debut in Le Sserafim. They will debut on May 2 with their first mini-album 'Fearless'.
Kim Chaewon - She is the leader of the group and was part of IZ*ONE before it disbanded. She was previously under Woollim Entertainment and had appeared in Golden Child’s music video.
Sakura - Miyawaki Sakura is from Japan and is the oldest member. She was previously part of the J-pop group HKT48 and IZ*ONE along with Chaewon.
Huh Yunjin - She is Korean-American and trained for a while under Pledis Entertainment. She had participated in ‘Produce 48’ with Chaewon and Sakura and had made it to the semi-finals.
Kazuha - Nakamura Kazuha caught everyone’s eye as she is Japanese-Dutch, grew up in the Netherlands and is a professional ballerina. She is also the 5th tallest female idol, standing tall at 174 cm.
Kim Garam - Garam was the second Le Sserafim member to be introduced and was praised for her visuals. However, she is now embroiled in a school bullying controversy. While HYBE has shared that the rumors are untrue, more alleged victims are stepping forward, making Knetizens wonder if she will get to debut.
Hong Eunchae - She is the youngest member born in November 2006. She is a trained dancer having studied at Def Dance Skool. Eunchae had also auditioned for JYPE and Pledis in the past. She is close to Kep1er’s Bahiyyih and Billlie’s Haruna.
