Zendaya's former stylist Law Roach denies FAT-SHAMING Priyanka Chopra
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Law Roach has denied all his alleged claims about Priyanka Chopra's body image. The former celebrity stylist recently set the record straight on the actress' claims when responding to Priyanka's comments on March 10 at the South by Southwest Film Festival, in which she claimed that she had been told by an anonymous person the day before that she was not a "sample-sized."
Earlier this week Roach accounced his retirement after a video that surfaced from Paris Fashion Week earlier this month made its rounds online after it showed a seemingly tense moment when Zendaya and Law arrived at the Louis Vuitton show together.

What did Priyanka Chopra say?
“In my job the pressure is so intense, you can’t really show the chinks in your armor,” said Priyanka, 40. “Someone told me yesterday that I wasn’t sample-sized … I was hurt and I discussed it with my family, and I cried to my husband [Nick Jonas], and my team, and I felt really bad about the fact that I’m not sample size, and that’s a problem, apparently, and most of us are not, and sample size is size 2,” according to People.
Her former stylist Law responded to her remarks by saying it was "a little bit hurtful" since "that wasn't the real conversation," Law told The Cut in an interview on Friday, March 17. "I've never had that conversation with her, ever," So again, it is her gatekeepers, how they presented what I said to her to make her feel that way. And if that made her feel bad, that wasn't—it was taken out of context," Law added. He said he had a great relationship with the actress, whom he has dressed for years, and "nothing but great things" have happened.
What happened between Zendaya and Law Roach?
After a video circulated online showing what appeared to be a tense moment between Zendaya and Law at the Louis Vuitton show during Paris Fashion Week, rumors surfaced that Law's retirement announcement on Instagram just days later was due to the incident. In the video, Zendaya sat in the only empty seat in the front row next to Emma Stone, leaving Law in the dark about where he should sit. However, Law has now dispelled the rumors that this incident was the reason for his retirement and clarified that he and Zendaya will continue to work together. Many people speculated that the moment was the last straw for Law, who ultimately announced his retirement on Instagram just days after.

'I love Priyanka'
On celebrity teams, Law said he often found himself in the awkward position of having frank discussions with his clients. "I think sometimes what it is with them is that they have an agenda and I need to be the bad guy because I'm the one who's dealing with the clothes and the body," he explained. "Like, I need to be the one who says, you know—and I'm not talking about her. I'm just talking about in general, like, I need to be the one to say, 'Oh, you know, be careful because the pictures aren't as beautiful because you coming across, you know, a little thicker than you used to be.'" He continued, "It is, like, so they'll say that to me or have a discussion with me but then take it back as if I was the lead in the discussion. And I'm not saying that's exactly what happened, but that's what feels like happened to me."
He talked highly of the actress saying he is "constantly inspired" by her. "I love Priyanka," he noted. "When you are around her, there's only so many women in this industry that have that thing. I'm constantly inspired by women, and she has this thing that's very Old Hollywood, Sophia Loren—it drives me crazy. She has a twinkle, she has a wiggle, and I love her, like, even as a person."
'I'm retiring from the celebrity styling'
Law made his remarks three days after declaring his retirement in a now-deleted blog post he wrote on March 14 and lamented the difficulties of being a celebrity stylist. Then only two days later, he made clear on his retirement plans, stating that he wanted to prioritize his mental health requirements. "I'm not saying I'm retiring from fashion," Law told Vogue in an interview published March 15. "I love fashion. I love the businesses, and I love being creative. What I'm retiring from is the celebrity styling part of it: the being in service and at service of other people. That's what I'm retiring from, yeah," as per E! News.
