Lana Del Rey sizzles in plunging yellow top as she teases single 'Tulsa Jesus Freak' from upcoming album
Lana Del Rey is building up anticipation to her upcoming album 'Chemtrails Over the Country Club' with new posts on social media.
The 35-year-old singer took to her Instagram today (August 6) to share a preview of the lead single 'Tulsa Jesus Freak' for the new studio album. With a caption that tags in Jack Antonoff, the video shows Del Rey working on the song and recording. The clip also has her cat meowing in the background for attention and shows Del Rey wearing similar clothing to what she wore in previously shared photos.
For those who need an introduction, Jack Antonoff is Del Rey's producer who worked on her latest Grammy-nominated studio album 'Norman F**king Rockwell!' which released in August 2019. Antonoff has been regarded as Del Rey's "not-so-secret weapon" by critics and has worked with other music heavyweights including Lorde, Taylor Swift, and St. Vincent.
Fans have been quick to respond to the video and cannot wait for the new album and lead single. "GIVE US THE LEAD SINGLE" said a fan while another wrote, "Drop it now." One fan said, "Just tell us something bout the album." Another fan shared a comment on Del Rey's cat, saying, "The cat was like โcuteeeeeeeeeโ ๐ฅฐ."
While Del Rey teased fans with the 'Tulsa Jesus Freak' clip, she also shared photos that were taken the same day, presumably for cover art. The stunning pics treat fans to a little eye candy with Del Rey in a plunging yellow top beneath a checkered shirt, revealing a lot of cleavage. In one setting a photo is taken in her kitchen and the other outside with Del Rey posing atop her luxury car. The pics also drew a lot of love from fans with comments such as "WHY IS SHE SO GORGEOUS OMFG" and "Honestly wanna get adopted by you rnnnnn" and "OK MOM IS HOTTER THAN ANYONE ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐."
When it comes to her forthcoming LP 'Chemtrails Over the Country Club', the Baroque pop singer has been buidling up the hype slowly. Del Rey first revealed that she had been working on a new album in August last year. In an interview with Al Horner for The Times, she announced that the title of the project would be 'White Hot Forever' and explained that parts of the album had already been written.
Then in May 2020, she gave the record its official moniker. The singer made the announcement during a video post she shared on Instagram at the time in which she responded to the recent criticism she received over another post that saw Del Rey hit back at claims that her music โglamorizes abuse.โ The singer fired back at her critics with a lengthy video with comments like, "I just want to say, the cultureโs super sick right now. And the fact that they want to turn my quotes, my advocacy for fragility into a race war? Itโs really bad." Her video concluded with, โSo God bless and yeah, f**k off if you donโt like the post.โ
'Chemtrails Over the Country Club' is releasing on September 5.
