Kylie Minogue to star alongside Uzo Aduba in Shonda Rhimes' Netflix series 'The Residence'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Shonda Rhimes, the super-producer behind mega-hits 'Bridgerton' and 'Grey's Anatomy,' is helming a comedy-drama series on Netflix called 'The Residence.' Developed by Paul William Davies, the series is based on the 2015 best-selling book by Kate Andersen Brower, 'The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House.' The murder mystery drama series centers on a murder scandal involving White House service staff.
Kylie Minogue, the iconic signer, has been added to the series' ensemble. The previous cast included Uzo Aduba of 'Orange is the New Black' in the lead role, as well as Andre Braugher, Susan Kelechi Watson, Jason Lee, and many others. The official logline for the drama series reads, "132 rooms. 157 suspects. One dead body. One wildly eccentric detective. One disastrous State Dinner. 'The Residence' is a screwball whodunnit set in the upstairs, downstairs, and backstairs of the White House, among the eclectic staff of the world's most famous mansion." The new series is a nine-figure deal between Netflix and Shondaland.
