Kwon Mina speaks out one last time against Shin Jimin, AOA fans ask her to stop
Trigger warning - suicide attempt
Just when Kwon Mina promised that she had stepped out from the public eye for good, she is once again in the spotlight as she tries to speak up one last time about the bullying incident with AOA’s Shin Jimin. In early 2020, the former group member had claimed that Jimin had bullied her for 10 years which had led to self-harm and several suicide attempts. The public immediately dropped AOA and Jimin left the group after apologizing.
However, since then fans have started to turn on Kwon Mina too after she kept on bringing up the incident. Texts of her insulting Jimin and her family was leaked. She was also crude about the whole situation which did not go over well with the general public. Many found loopholes in her story and believed that she must be lying which led to the former AOA member being cyberbullied. After her last suicide attempt in mid-2021, Mina backed off promising to stay away from social media as it affected her mental health.

Mina summarizes the incident
While Mina had deactivated her Instagram, she came back online to update fans about her new life. But on February 8, she once again decided to address the situation with AOA and Jimin in a lengthy post replying to a DM asking her why she had lied about everything. She explained that she wanted to summarize everything and that she had indeed been bullied for 9 to 10 years. She also accepted that she had indeed cursed Jimin in her text messages but that was it. Mina explained the cause behind her recent actions online, “I’ve been suffering for 10 years…it piled up and piled up and I wanted to do everything if I could get revenge…whether I’d be the same person or not.”
She ended her statement by saying that she could not let it go because Jimin apologized without remembering the bullying incidents and that Mina's claims weren't false just because she had behaved crudely in the aftermath. Mina added, “How could the woman who said she couldn’t remember all the time make a true apology?...I was foolish, but I don’t think that’s going to eliminate that person’s [actions]."
'OMFG again?'
However, fans find the timing of Mina’s post suspicious as it follows Jimin leaving the AOA’s label FNC and finally being accepted by the general public who are now supporting her solo career. One user tweeted, “Still waiting for kwon mina to apologize for ruining shin jimin's life and all of aoa members careers.” A tired user shared, “Kwon mina posted again.” One sincere fan added, “Please kwon mina i can't believe you please if its really true why did you lie about things?? i've read that you definitely lied about things in your post I cant believe you anymore ….” Another said, “Omfg again????????? When will that kwon mina girl stop??” One user wondered, “It’s stupid, just as Shin Jimin is about to be open again to public. Some of Mina’s fan and herself decided to screw everything up again. However, majority have already concluded that she lied due to countless evidence and statement from staff. Bottom line, Mina need attention.”
