Making his first public appearance after a very public controversy is never easy for any celebrity and such is the case for Korean actor Kim Seon-ho who had been showing a slow rise to the top over the last few years. Back in 2021, after the end of his tvN K-drama 'Hometown Cha Cha Cha' where the actor appeared in a lead role, Kim Seon-ho got a lot of attention from fans but it was soon followed by a public post about his personal life in which it was implied that the actor forced his ex-girlfriend to have an abortion.

With his public image being tarnished in a matter of seconds, the actor soon won back the trust of his fans and supporters when his ex-girlfriend was exposed for trying to sabotage and manipulate the actor. Seon-ho apologized to fans and took a much-needed break where he promised fans to be reflecting on his actions. The actor may have done just that as he finally made his first ever public appearance on July 20 where Kim Seon-ho personally apologized for the controversy over his private life, and eventually cried on stage sending fans into an emotional upheaval.

Kim Seon-ho apologizes for his scandal

On the afternoon of July 20, Kim Seon-ho addressed the reporters for the first time as he attended the press call for the play 'Touching the Void' at the Art One Theater in Seoul. Considering the fact that this was his first public interaction since his controversy, the actor took the first step and addressed the controversy before he could be asked any questions out of the blue.

Kim Seon-ho said, "I thought it was the right thing to do, so I came out alone first. I was a little nervous, so I wrote this down on a piece of paper. I hope you can understand it with an open mind." He continued, "I am very sorry and sorry to say this at the press call. Many people worked hard from this spring to summer to make this play. I'm sorry to everyone." Soon Kim Seon-ho broke into tears as he said, "I am truly sorry for causing concern to many people with bad news. Looking back on my time, I have reflected a lot on my shortcomings."
