'Killing Eve' Season 3 Episode 7 Preview: Is Villanelle's going to kill Dasha next?

With some 100 plots going on at the same time it's difficult to nail how Villanelle and Eve will find their way back. We're hoping it's through this little development

We saw what Villanelle's (Jodie Comer) latest epiphany about being her mother's daughter is doing to her. Sloppy jobs end in wounds that would have never plagued the old Villanelle and imminent bathroom floor breakdowns are controlled by Dasha (Harriet Walter) arriving just in time to ask her to toughen up. Her mother's refusal to admit the inherent darkness that ties her to her own daughter pretty much snapped Villanelle. So it only makes sense that she would go after yet another mother-figure who is only exploiting her for her own selfish needs under the guise of labeling Villanelle a 'killing machine'. The promo for the upcoming penultimate and seventh episode for this third season confirms the speculation.

With the season heading pretty much nowhere even at six episodes down, fans are getting impatient about the lack of Villanelle and Eve (Sandra Oh) interaction we have received so far, or even Eve's screentime for that matter. Sadly, by the looks of it, the coming episode 'Beautiful Monster' will, once again, as expected, find Carolyn Martens (Fiona Shaw) at the focus of the story. Surprise, surprise, it's almost as if the series is called 'Killing Carolyn' or something. Yes, Carolyn's grief matters and she could always prove to be a needed third addition to the VillanEve duo that finally takes down 'The 12'.

But with Konstantin Vasiliev (Kim Bodnia) on the run and Villanelle realizing the only thing grounding her to the secret murderous organization is her former handler turned subordinate Dasha, there's no chance she would take that opportunity to set some things right. As kickass as Dasha might be, at the core of it all, we just want to see some VillanEve action once again and currently, the only thing standing in the way of that is Dasha doing her utmost to drive a wedge between the two. Arriving right in time to offer some respite from that is, fortunately, the trailer for Episode 7, where Dasha can be seen cornered by Villanelle with her hands around the older woman's throat, asking about whether Dasha's son has the same problems as her.

First of all, Dasha doesn't look like the kind of person who would have a child and secondly - why is Villanelle suddenly attacking her? Well, of course, there's the lurking possibility of Villanelle finding out how Dasha executed the wedge between her and Villanelle. And considering how wary of The 12 Villanelle has become, of course, she neither cares about order or hierarchy anymore. Maybe there's that eventual Eve and Villanelle face-off finally coming up in Episode 7 and that passionate collision ends with Villanelle cutting off all of her ties with her present by murdering Dasha.

'Killing Eve' Season 3 airs on Sundays at 9 pm only on BBC America.
