Inspired by the life of physician Oliver Sacks, 'Brilliant Minds' follows Zachary Quinto's Oliver Wolf, a decorated and revolutionary neurologist, and his team as they delve deeper into the human mind, while also dealing with their own complex relationships and mental health. Returning stars alongside Quinto include Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, Teddy Sears, Donna Murphy, John Clarence Stewart, Brian Altemus, and Al Calderon. To quickly recap, the last episode of the show focused on Sofia (Sarah Steele), the woman who Wolf met as a neighbor of his fathers was revealed to be a hallucination. The news is confirmed when Carol Pierce (Perry) checks the security feed after Wolf reveals he had left Sofia in the sleep study room during an emergency in the hospital.

The latest updates come on the back of NBC pulling the show from its usual 10 pm ET slot to focus on the 2026 Winter Olympics. The network later announced that the 9 pm to 11 pm timeslot would be taken over by  'The Voice: Battle of Champions'.  At the time of writing, there is no word on whether 'Brilliant Minds' will be renewed for Season 3. For now, however, fans of the med drama will be keen to see how the rest of the season pans out. 'Brilliant Minds', Season 2 returns on May 27 on NBC.
