Kid Cudi walks off Rolling Loud stage after being harassed by crowd, fans say he was 'doing his job'

Rolling Loud Miami 2022 at the Hard Rock Stadium got off to a rocky start after a furious Kid Cudi walked off stage. Cudi, who was roped in as the headliner after replacing Kanye West, got angry over the crowd throwing random items at him in the middle of his set. It appears the fans present in the audience were angry over the organizers replacing Kanye West with his friend turned foe Kid Cudi after the former backed out of the event as a headliner.
 
The 38-year-old rap icon, who clearly appeared pissed during his set at Rolling Loud, warned the fans present at the concert not to throw things at him or else he will walk away. The rapper’s warning went all in vain as a bottle soon comes flying across the stage leaving the rapper agitated. Kid Cudi then without wasting any time walks off the stage leaving the audience stunned. Ironically, Kanye West performed on the adjacent stage minutes later after Lil Durk brought him for guest vocals. They performed on the song, ‘Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1’, which features Cudi’s vocals on the chorus.

Kid Cudi failed to complete his set as a headliner of Rolling Loud Miami 2022 after the crowd continuously threw random things at him. Addressing the same, the ‘Man on the Moon’ hitmaker says, “If I get hit with one more f**king thing, if I see one more f**king thing on this f**king stage I’m leaving.” In another video surfaced, Kid Cudi was seen saying, “Yo, I will walk off this stage if y’all throw one more f**kin’ thing up here. I will leave. I will leave right now.”
 
Kid Cudi has, so far, not shared an official statement on the same. The organizers too have stayed mum on the controversy. MEAWW will keep you posted. Kanye West had backed out of the event a few days ago giving no explanation to his fans. The Rolling Loud co-founders Tariq Cherif and Matt Zingler, however, did spill the beans to Deadline on the same. “We were looking forward to Ye headlining Rolling Loud Miami 2022. We spent months working with him and his team on the performance. Unfortunately, Ye has decided that he will no longer be performing,” said the duo.

They added, “This is the first time a headliner has ever pulled off our show and though we don’t take it lightly, we wish him the best. We look forward to welcoming Kid Cudi as a headliner in Miami and we can’t wait to see what he has in store.” Rolling Loud Miami will be held from July 22 to July 24 at the Hard Rock Stadium.    

‘Be mad at Ye for pulling out last second’

Social media users got angry over Kid Cudi getting disrespected as one of the users posted, “The whole Kid Cudi and rolling loud situation pisses me off. that man was out there performing, and doing his job as an artist and people disrespecting him and throwing trash at him? it’s just sad and disgusting. & @RollingLoud y’all f**king clowns. hang it up, @TariqCherif. smh.” Another chimed in, “The disrespect for kid cudi at rolling loud is disgusting.” Whereas, another posted, “Throwing things on stage at Kid Cudi is every bit as disrespectful to him as it is unfair to his fans, those who showed up at Rolling Loud to see him perform. And he was fair enough to warn that he would leave. He could have immediately walked off after the first incident.”
 
The next one tweeted, “Kid Cudi way too talented to deal with you bi**h rolling loud clowns.” One shared, “Seeing what happened to Kid Cudi at Rolling Loud destroys me. It's not his fault he became the headliner instead of Ye. If you want someone to be mad about, be mad at Ye for pulling out last second. @KiDCuDi wishing you the best, don't let that impact you too much.” And, one concluded, “Rolling Loud set him up by replacing Kanye for him.”
