According to the Twitter handle of NYPD, Kay Flock reportedly shot and killed the man at Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan

Rapper Kay Flock has been reportedly arrested after he apparently murdered a man in the early third week of December. According to the official Twitter handle of DJ Akademiks, the rapper reported to have killed the individual outside a barber shop. Kay Flock apparently had issues with a 24-year-old man who is yet to be identified. According to unconfirmed reports, Flock murdered the man on December 16. The official Twitter page of NYPD had also tweeted about a homicide while sharing a blurred screenshot of what appears to be from CCTV footage. Cops reportedly arrested the rapper on December 24.
 
DJ Akademiks revealed that the rapper was wanted for a homicide. Kay Flock reportedly shot and killed the man at Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan. Speaking of rappers getting arrested for their alleged crimes, Silento made news after he was indicted on four felonies after first getting arrested in February for allegedly murdering his cousin. Rapper Top5 was wanted for first-degree murder along with three counts of failure to comply with bail. Top5 was one of the two men arrested and charged in connection to the death of the 20-year-old Hashim Omar Hashi on January 31. Teen rapper SpotemGottem was also wanted for questioning in a case related to the murder of Reginald Agnew Jr. The latter was killed in 2020 after he was gunned down at a party at a local venue. Wisdom Awute from DaBaby’s entourage was arrested for attempted murder in June 2021.

Who is Kay Flock?

Kay Flock is an 18-year-old rapper whose real name is Kay Roy. The young rapper enjoys more than 200K followers on YouTube whereas his Instagram account seems to be deactivated. Kay Flock, apart from dropping solo music, also raps from a group called Thraxxx. His very first song to hit the Internet was called ‘FTO’ that was released in May 2020.
 
Flock was reportedly in juvenile detention in early 2020. He is known for his drill music based out of Bronx. Flock shot to fame with his song on the instrumental for 22Gz's ‘Blixky Gang Freestyle’. He then dropped songs like ‘Opp Spotter’ with his childhood friend B-Lovee, ‘Brotherly Love’, ‘PSA’, ‘Being Honest’ and ‘Is Ya Ready’ among a few others. Flock dropped his debut project in November 2021 called ‘The D.O.A. Tape’ where he managed to tap G Herbo on the remix of ‘Being Honest’. He was also featured on Lil Tjay's single, ‘Not In The Mood’ featuring Fivio Foreign that peaked at number 61 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking his first time on the chart.

Why did Kay Flock get arrested?

According to DJ Akademiks’ Twitter, the cops claimed that Kay Flock walked into a barber shop and spotted an individual he had issues with. They apparently got into an argument. They both then got out of the shop where Flock lost his cool and ended up pulling a gun. According to reports, he shot the victim in the neck and the back. He was reportedly wearing a mask at the time of the shooting. The official Twitter account of NYPD had also released a “WANTED” poster for the rapper before he was finally nabbed in which they cited him as perpetrator in the probable cause of arrest.
