Katy Perry brings on the oomph in a sheer black dress during 'American Idol' afterparty in Beverly Hills
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Katy Perry was spotted at the 'American Idol' after-party in a sheer black barely-there gown that flaunted her curves on the night of Sunday, May 21, in Beverly Hills.
Perry accessorized the dress with a pair of black lace-up heels, a large black ring and matching earrings. She changed her look for the after-party after wearing a glittering orange cut-out dress to the finale hours earlier.

Katy Perry cries during 'American Idol' finale
During the finals, Perry also made news when she burst into tears during the finalists' performances. Iam Tongi opened the night with a touching rendition of Keith Urban's ‘Making Memories of Us’. Tongi reportedly met Urban before the performance to discuss his song selection and to get some suggestions for his performance. His final performance moved several of the judges to tears.
‘I had to grab a little tissue’
Perry was seen crying in her seat, but co-judges, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, seemed stoic. After Tongi finished singing, the 'Teenage Dream' singer said, "Can I just say one thing?”
"In between you and Megan [Danielle] I had to grab a little tissue and fold it into a triangle because every time you come on and you sing the vibration that comes out of your mouth, it goes through the weeds of people’s hearts and it just gets to them," she said, adding, "It moves us so much. So when you sing, I am ready to feel, baby."
Bryan and Richie admitted to being close to tears throughout the performance. The 'Roar' singer and Bryan burst into tears once more right after Tongi took to the stage for the second time during the finals.
