Katie Holmes and doppelganger daughter Suri slay the airport look in rare trip together out of LA
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Suri Cruise, Katie Holmes' daughter, was a split image of her mother as they journeyed out of Los Angeles on Monday night, April 24. As the pair prepared to board their flight, the ‘Alone Together' star's daughter, 17, walked beside her famous mother, dragging a light pink luggage.
The only child of Holmes and her ex-husband Tom Cruise, who is apparently estranged from his daughter, seemed to be the same height as the ‘Dawson's Creek’ actress. Her height appears to be inherited from her five-foot-nine mother, not Tom, who is supposedly two inches shorter than his ex-wife.

The mom-of-one went makeup-free for the flight to highlight her natural beauty. She finished off her casual look with a beige tote bag over her shoulder and her phone in a protective red cover. Suri wore a light gray zip-up, white drawstring leggings, and two braids in her long brown hair.
‘I always want the greatest level of skill’
Katie announced last summer that her daughter recorded a rendition of the song ‘Blue Moon’ for her film ‘Alone Together’, which she wrote, produced, and starred in. "She's very, very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it and I let her do her thing," Holmes told Yahoo! Entertainment. She continued, “That's the way I direct in general. It's like, this is what I think we all want - go do your thing."
Suri's voice can be heard in the opening credits. ‘Blue Moon’ holds a particular place in their hearts. Katie stated to the outlet that 76-year-old Diane Keaton, who sang the song in the 2014 film ‘And So It Goes’, met Suri when she was one.
Katie, who is a major Diane fan, was inspired to create ‘Alone Together’ after witnessing the icon in the 1987 film ‘Baby Boom’. Katie explained why she wanted her daughter to sing for her film, "I always want the greatest level of skill, therefore I asked her."
‘She's a 16-year-old girl in high school’
Suri also sang for Katie's April film, ‘Rare Objects’, which she also wrote, produced, and acted in. "She actually did sing in ‘Rare Objects’, which is the film we did last fall," Katie explained. However, Katie stated that Suri's current concentration is not on a singing career. "Aside from that, she's a 16-year-old girl in high school."
Katie first started seeing Suri's father, Tom Cruise, in 2005, and they were engaged seven weeks later. In November 2006, seven months after Suri was born, the couple married at the Castello Orsini-Odescalchi in Bracciano.
According to People, Katie filed for divorce in 2012. The divorce was finalized barely 10 days later, with Suri's mother keeping primary custody but allowing Tom to visit.
