Kanye West sparked outrage Thursday night, November 4, after he appeared to disregard the #MeToo movement and also revealed that he is still supports former president Donald J Trump.

The musician and entrepreneur, 44, sat down with rapper Noreaga and DJ EFN for a chat on Drink Champs, a podcast that is also featured on Diddy's Revolt. It was his first talk since splitting from wife Kim Kardashian, and he seemed to be in good spirits as he sipped on Hennessy and Hibiki. He was asked if he'd consider ever appearing on Verzuz. “Oh, absolutely—but I would need about like four people to go against me at one time," he responded. And when asked whether he'd knock out Drake on the webcast series, he joked, "I'm winning every situation."

West recently drew criticism for giving a platform to Marilyn Manson and DaBaby, after he had both of them with him for a Donda album listening event in Chicago. He also invited Manson to "worship" with him at a recent Sunday Service event.

“All the #Me Too—like, when I sit next to Marilyn Manson and DaBaby, right after both of them got canceled, for five songs, you know, it’s like they can’t cancel a song,” West said. “They’ll hit you with the accusations or somebody who you was with 10 years ago. And also, there’s women who’ve been through very serious things, pulled in alleys against their will—that’s different than a hug, but it’s classified as the same thing. It’s power and politics. You know, power-hungry maniacs and just control. This is 1984 mind-control we’re in."

Manson is facing multiple sexual assault lawsuits and is currently under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. That said, Ye also confirmed that he still supports Trump. “I still got a red hat on today. I’ll let y’all know that," he remarked, referring to the Trump MAGA hat. "I might not got it on, but I’ll let y’all know where I stand.”

Critics of Ye blasted him on social media for speaking against the #MeToo movement and continuing to back Trump. "Kanye West talking about #metoo is not good. He’s confusing “a hug” with “women getting pulled in alleys”. This is exactly why nothing changes. Men in power don’t understand the nuances of sexual assault and violence," music journalist Sowmya Krishnamurthy tweeted.

"A long time ago @kanyewest was once an enlightened musical pioneer. Now he is just a reactionary out-of-touch cultural dinosaur. The latest condemning #MeToo as "Nineteen Eighty-Four mind control." Worse stuff in his interview," left-wing commentator Gerry Hassan added.

"Kanye West giving off about MeToo like someone who's preempting someone from the past making claims about him," one Twitter user wrote.

"Kanye West admits he’s still a supporter of the Orange Loser and slams the #MeToo movement. Every time I think YoYo is going away, he does something to remind us what a prick he is," a comment read.

"Is @kanyewest releasing new shoes or a new jacket? This parade of guys doing their little 'Lookit! You can't cancel me!' routine is getting tedious. There are dozens of male celebrities feeding and using #CancelCulture hype to launch their latest products this way," another chimed in.
