Will BTS travel to LA for Grammy performance? 'Quarantine friendly' awards authority suggests virtual performance

Amid BTS ARMY’s speculations, here’s what Grammy has hinted at on a number of virtual performances for the night

One week before Grammy, BTS ARMY is wondering if BTS has already traveled to Los Angeles for their Grammy performance. Though Grammy hasn’t officially announced the performer's list yet, BTS ARMY believes that the Grammy-nominated K-pop septet will perform for the Recording Academy this year. Amid BTS ARMY’s speculations, here’s what Grammy has hinted at on a number of virtual performances for the night.

The 63rd Grammy Awards show taking place on Sunday, March 14 at 2 PM PT will be streamed virtually from Grammy.com and while the full performance list is still not,  a number of heavyweight artists like three-time GRAMMY nominee Jhené Aiko, Nigerian singer, songwriter, and rapper Burna Boy, jazz band Terri Lyne Carrington + Social Science, blues musician Jimmy "Duck" Holmes, classical pianist Igor Levit, Latin electropop musician Lido Pimienta, singer, songwriter and performance artist Poppy, and singer, songwriter and composer Rufus Wainwright will be performing for the Grammys Recording Academy has already put out. The ‘Quarantine Friendly’ Grammys this year will also have some of the performances virtually, the Grammy website suggested.

Will BTS travel to LA for their Grammy performance?

With travel restrictions and pandemics still in place, it is not clear if BTS will travel to Los Angeles for their Grammy performance but the Grammy authority is more than willing to take the virtual route for some performances a report suggested. The ‘Quarantine Friendly’ 63rd Grammy will surely see some new changes and it can be said for sure that the virtual performances will be a part of the Grammy stage this year.

Where is BTS?

While Grammy hasn’t still announced the full performance list, BTS ARMY is busy connecting the dots and wondering if the group has already traveled to LA for their stage. On March 5, a number of BTS members including rapper RM, vocalist Jin and ‘golden maknae’ Jungkook found different times to post updates. 

The Billboard Hot 100 topper group member Jin is also sporting a  very shining Honey brown hair, BTS ARMY noticed. ARMY connected the dots pf their posting timing to check if it matches with the LA schedule and some have come to the conclusion that BTS is already in LA! A fan said, “RM posting eating dinner at 13:59 KST which is 8:59pm PST, Jungkook posting around 2:05 kst which is 9:05 am PST and Seokjin with a brown hair which is his hair color in Dynamite.... so them in LA is a possibility.” Another said, “so apparently an ARMY has a theory that BTS might be in LA. idk whats happening, are we gonna end up being clowns again? #WhereIsBTS” A fan noted, “didnt he say he was eating salad? dinner = lunch in a lot of places, it can be used interchangeably. jk being awake at 2am isn’t surprising, they tend to post quite late. and jin’s selfie could be old. i don’t think they’d go to the US during a pandemic honestly!” Another spoke of the clownery that BTS ARMY is famous for simply saying, “Armys be like : #WhereIsBTS  LA OR Korea ? The Grammys is coming .. Are they ? Oh em. clownery at its finest!”
