It's all love for Jin and his music as the beloved member of K-pop group BTS trends on Twitter on Friday, January 22. As an ARMY, you would probably know everything there is to know about the massively famous K-pop boys as a group, but some may be surprised to know of their individual talents.

The talents of Jin

Jin, whose real name is Kim Seok-jin, is a South Korean singer-songwriter commonly popularized as a BTS member since he joined the group in 2013. Jin can play the guitar and is a tenor who has received praise from critics, noting that his voice has stable breath control and a strong falsetto, with some calling it a "silver voice".

His songwriting abilities extend across several BTS songs and he has also penned his own independent songs. With BTS, he has co-written and released three solo tracks, namely 'Awake' (2016), 'Epiphany' (2018), and 'Moon' (2020). All three songs have impacted South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart. In 2019, Jin released his first solo song outside of BTS, the digital track 'Tonight'. He also appeared on the 2016 soundtrack for the South Korean drama series 'Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth' alongside BTS member V.

A listening party for Jin has erupted on Twitter as #StreamFor_Jin began trending on social media. Many fans are tweeting their favorite lines from his songs and screenshots of their streaming. "Awake was my comfort song last night #StreamFor_Jin," said a fan while another wrote of 'Epiphany', "Jin, Jin, Jin... this song is beautiful and your voice is gorgeous. There is never a time I don’t cry when listening to this song." 

Another fan described 'Moon' as a "masterpiece" while another declared it the "best song of 2020." One fan tweeted, "I love Jin and his songs. He has an amazing voice and has a beautiful heart. My opinion, I feel like he didn't get the acknowledgement until he sang Epiphany. Jin, BTS and his songs (BTS songs too) will always and forever have a special place in my heart." "Jin is underrated - like if you agree," added another fan.
