Justin Bieber 'privately begged' Selena Gomez to rescue wife Hailey Bieber from online hate, source reveals
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Alleged enemies Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber apparently reconciled after the two followed each other on Instagram shortly after the former spoke in support of the model. The move came after Hailey received death threats from online fans for allegedly dissing Gomez on her social media. While it appeared that the 'Good for You' singer stepped in to put an end to the hate toward Hailey, an insider claims that Gomez did that for the sake of her ex Justin Bieber.
The alleged bad blood between the famous celebrities reportedly began after Justin Bieber married Hailey two months after his split with Gomez. However, the fans of the former couple never ceased shipping them together and still hope that Justin and Gomez would get back together in the future. His wife Hailey although has received a ton of backlash in the process which recently escalated after she allegedly made fun of Gomez's eyebrows with pal Kylie Jenner. After being the target of relentless online hate for months, Hailey apparently reached out to Gomez to ask her fans to stop grilling her online. However, a source claims that it was, in fact, Gomez's ex-Justin who "privately begged" her to help Hailey.

“Selena has no love for Hailey, but she still cares about Justin — who privately begged her to get folks to believe they’ve all made peace,” the source told RadarOnline. “It’s not only for Hailey’s sake but for him!” The source added that the 29-year-old singer is desperately trying to hold onto his fans after canceling his 2022 tour dates due to anxiety and health issues. “Justin is concerned he and Hailey have become the most unpopular couple in Hollywood and is terrified that when and if he is able to come back, his fans won’t be there anymore,” a source explained.
Gomez took to her Instagram to reveal that it was Hailey who contacted her to help end the online hate, sources claim that it was Justin's plea that got to her to step into the ongoing drama. “Justin has never been so down and Selena sees that,” a source said. “She’s doing this for him. She couldn’t care less about Hailey!”
'Hailey Bieber reached out to me'
Last month, the 'Same Old Love' singer posted on her social media, "Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity. This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying." She added, "I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop."
Hailey thanked Gomez in response, writing, "I want to thank Selena for speaking out, as her and I have been discussing the last few weeks how to move past this ongoing narrative between her and I. The last few weeks have been very hard for everyone involved and millions of people are seeing so much hate around this, which is extremely harmful."
