LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: When Hailey Bieber's husband, Justin Bieber, established his streetwear line, he was hoping to compete with Yeezy. But the singer's smiley-faced brand, which includes $150 sweatshirts, $250 pants, and other costly products, has been nothing short of a fashion disaster, according to a RadarOnline.com report,

"Drew House is becoming more and more of an afterthought every day," one source told the outlet. "The brand isn't growing at the same pace as its competitors." That hasn't stopped the 29-year-old singer, who co-founded the company with "swagger coach" Ryan Good, from investing in it and keeping it running since 2019. But should he be cutting his losses and shutting it down instead?

But despite its merchandise not making waves, Drew House has become Justin's main creative outlet because he has been unable to tour due to health difficulties. "He's still trying to be taken seriously," the source said. "The question is, how much more is he going to invest in this thing when he can't even get above 2 million Instagram followers for it?"

Here’s how Drew grew

Justin Bieber has always had a unique style of his own that reflects in his clothes and general lifestyle. It has even led to some outrageous stunts like showing his love for Christmas by driving a custom SUV decked out in festive decorations around Los Angeles in 2017. In 2019, he decided to get fans in on the action when he finally unveiled his mysterious clothing line, Drew House, much to their delight.

Bieber had previously trademarked the words "Drew," "The House of Drew," and "La Maison Drew" in February 2018, but kept quiet about the label for several months afterward, making the release all the more anticipated. Justin has made several posts on his Instagram donning products from Drew House, one being on November 19, 2022, where the singer is seeing eating noodles and the caption reads, 'This is really hot stuff'.

Drew House debuted in December 2018 with Bieber's "Cheap Hotel Slippers," which retailed for $4.99 and quickly sold out. He's added numerous things to the unisex brand since then, but they haven't been a huge success, possibly because they were priced too high.

Is Justin retiring?

Unfortunately for the Biebs, Drew House isn't the only thing he's concerned about in his life. According to sources, the ‘Baby’ singer is contemplating retiring after amassing $200 million from the sale of his music catalog. He apparently wants to step away from the spotlight to focus on his marriage to 26-year-old model Hailey Bieber, especially following his recent health issues.

Justin Bieber unexpectedly canceled his Justice World Tour after performing only 49 out of the planned 132 shows, due to health issues and feeling exhausted. He does not appear to be eager to return to the stage at this time.

He also disclosed that he had Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which had partially paralyzed his face. "Justin feels the pressure of the music biz isn't good for him," revealed one source. "He just wants to disappear with Hailey and enjoy his money." According to RadarOnline.com, Bieber is eager to work on his marriage, which is plagued by trust concerns.

Having a successful fashion business on the side like so many other music artist — from Rihanna to Kanye West — could aid his retirement from the music business. This may be why Bieber is stil hoping things will turn around for Drew House.
