Justin Bieber is rolling out his New Year celebration with a message of hope through his new single 'Anyone'

Justin Bieber is returning to the live stage for the first time since his 2017 'Purpose World Tour'. For an exclusive New Year's Eve event, the 'Changes' singer is set to debut his new song 'Anyone' on Thursday, December 31, night. "I can't think of a better way to close out 2020 and kick off 2021 than celebrating with my fans all over the world and sharing this new music with them," Bieber said, according to People. "Music has gotten us all through so much this year, and for me personally it's been healing and transformative."

'Anyone' follows the release of his 2020 singles 'Holy' featuring Chance the Rapper, 'Lonely' featuring Benny Blanco, and his latest collaborative track 'Monster' with Shawn Mendes. For his larger projects, Bieber's fifth studio album 'Changes' arrived on Valentine's Day in 2020. For his partnership with T-Mobile for the concert, Bieber said, "I've worked with T-Mobile for a long time — they're such a fun brand, and we're working on more surprises to watch out for during this special night." He added "I can't wait to partner on this epic New Year's Eve concert with them, and give everyone a safe way to kick 2020 out the door, together."

Release date

While the concert special 'T-Mobile Presents New Year's Eve Live with Justin Bieber' began airing live at 7:10 pm PST/10:15 pm. EST on December 31, 2020, the 'Anyone' single and its accompanying music video is scheduled to release after the event, as the clock strikes midnight into the new year of 2021.

Concept

'Anyone' opens in a gospelesque tone with piano chords struck before thumping out a steady dance beat accompanied by Bieber's silky R&B vocals. Bieber also described the song in the statement, noting, "'Anyone' is such a special, hopeful, anthemic song." He added, "It sets the tone for a brighter new year full of hope and possibility."

Bieber's wife Hailey took to her Instagram Story recently to express her excitement for the single. "I love this song so so much," she wrote.

Bieber first shared the news of his performance on Twitter on December 30, writing, "Oh yeah I'm performing my new single #ANYONE during #BieberNYE tomorrow night."
