Here is everything you need to know about it. 

Release date

'Judgment With Ashleigh Banfield' will be a weekly hour-long series premiering on September 13, and every Sunday night thereafter at 8 pm ET.

Plot

'Judgement With Ashleigh Banfield' will give a deeper insight into the country's most provocative and intriguing trials and cases of all time. Hosted by Ashleigh Banfield, Court TV alum, and former CNN, MSNBC legal analyst, the series will feature brand new interviews and exclusive never-before-seen reveals. Each installment will give a closer look at some of the cases that people only thought they knew about while unfurling more details about these touchstones in America's judicial history. Some of the prominent cases featured in the series include those involving Casey Anthony, Jodie Arias, O J Simpson and Conrad Murray, among others. 

"It is wonderful being back on Court TV and I'm very excited about Judgment," said Banfield in a press statement obtained by MEA WorldWide. "We have the luxury of having access to the vast Court TV library of more than a thousand trials, which allows us to share and re-visit the most intriguing and legally-fascinating cases in modern-day history. There are literally hundreds of compelling stories to tell — and we plan on telling them."

Ashleigh Banfield is a journalist and former host of 'Legal View with Ashleigh Banfield' and 'Early Start' on CNN. She is currently a backup host of the Live PD show on A&E. Born and raised in Canada, she began her career at CJBN-TV in Ontario in 1988, and eventually anchored the weekend news for CFRN TV between 1989 and 1992. She also worked at CICT-TV as a producer from 1992 to 1993 and as an evening news anchor and business correspondent from 1993 to 1995. Banfield won two Iris Awards in 1994 in the categories of Best News Documentary and Best of Festival. In 2000, after winning an Emmy for her reporting at Dallas, Texas broadcast station, KDFW-TV, she was hired by national cable network MSNBC. She hosted 'MSNBC Investigates', and worked at NBC News. 

Banfield joined Court TV in 2005, where she co-hosted trial coverage show 'Banfield & Ford: Courtside' with Jack Ford and then took over the series 'Open Court'. Her last major assignment with the network was reporting on the Casey Anthony trial. She joined CNN in 2012 as co-anchor Zoraida Sambolin, for the network's morning show, 'Early Start'. In 2014, Banfield made a cameo in the Netflix series 'House of Cards'. She then joined CNN sister station HLN as host on the legal issues interview program 'Primetime Justice with Ashleigh Banfield', which was re-branded as 'Crime & Justice with Ashleigh Banfield.'
