'John Wick' star Lance Reddick's cause of death revealed weeks after he was found dead at his California home
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Wire' star Lance Reddick's cause of death has been revealed. According to the actor's death certificate, he had two heart conditions: atherosclerotic coronary artery disease and ischemic heart disease.
As per the American Heart Association, Ischemia is a condition in which a part of the body has restricted or reduced oxygen and blood flow whereas the Mayo Clinic describes Arteriosclerosis as a condition that occurs when "blood vessels that carry oxygen and nutrients from the heart to the rest of the body become thick and stiff," which may restrict the flow of blood to the tissues and organs. The blood clots may lead to a stroke or heart attack.

On March 17, Reddick was found dead at his California home in Studio City. The actor died of "natural causes" at the age of 60, according to law enforcement sources, reported TMZ. The actor died amidst his busy and active work life as he was in the middle of 'John Wick: Chapter 4' press tour. The movie was released on March 23.
Reddick was part of the 'John Wick' franchise for 10 years
Calling his co-stars Ian McShane and Keanu Reeves as his "family" while sitting next to the action movie's cast on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show', Reddick said in what happened to be one of his final interviews, "You see, with the three of us, it’s not just the family that you’re born into, but the family that you created and how much we really are family."
The 60-year-old actor played the role of Charon in which the character was a hotel concierge and also John Wick's old acquaintance. He was part of the franchise for nearly 10 years. Reeves wore a blue ribbon to honor his late friend at the premiere of the fourth film. "He was a beautiful person, a special artist [and] a man of grace and dignity [with] such a passion for his craft. To have had the chance to work with him over the 10 years and four films [in the franchise] is something very special to me. It f****** sucks he’s not here," said Reeves while he was on the red carpet.
