The Billboard Music Awards are back. The ceremony, which was supposed to happen in April, was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and is now taking place on Wednesday, October 14. The 30th annual event is underway at The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and is a star studded event. One of the highlights was John Legend who made everyone emotional with his song titled 'Never Break'.

While introducing Legend, Kelly Clarkson sent him and Teigen her love and said, "He and Chrissy just have this warm way of inviting us into their world, the highs and the lows. Our hearts go out to you both in this very difficult time and I'm thankful that you continue to share your light and your talent with all of us for the very special performance, possibly my favorite of the night. This is 'Never Break' with John Legend," she said.

The performance came just weeks after Chrissy Teigen announced that she and Legend had lost their third child. The 41-year-old singer delivered a powerful performance of 'Never Break', off his latest album, 'Bigger Love', during the ceremony. "Who knows about tomorrow? We don't know what's in the stars, I just know I'll always follow the light in your heart. We will never break." he sang emotionally.

As soon as his performance started, people started appreciating his performance as one user wrote, "That was so beautiful. My thoughts and love are with your family and my prayers are with little Jack  @johnlegend @chrissyteigen #NeverBreak." Feeling the lyrics, another one said, "Why did that performance hurt my feelings?"

Praising his song, a user said, "@johnlegend NEVER BREAK hit the nail right on the head! Beautiful tribute to @chrissyteigen and any other person out there who might be on the cusp of breaking.....!" While another one said, "NO JOHN LEGEND AND CHRISSY TEIGEN SLANDER WILL BE TOLERATED"

Appreciating his performance, a viewer wrote, "The only performance I kinda like was john legend's. Everything else is just so bland and theres so many commercials." Another pointed out, "Nobody at all: John Legend EVERY award show: sings a ballad and dedicates it to Chrissy"

This was not the first time that Legend gave a heart-wrenching performance of 'Never Break' as he has also performed the song during night two of the 2020 Democratic National Convention.
