CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA: In a shocking blunder on the 'Jeopardy!' episode, all three contestants on the panel failed to answer an obvious question, missing out on guessing the legendary baseball player Jackie Robinson's name.

Fans have expressed their shock over the contestants' failure and have taken to Twitter to voice their frustration. Many pointed out that the question was not difficult and that the answer was easy.

Who were the contestants behind the blunder?

In what seems like a trend in the past few weeks of 'Jeopardy!' many contestants have missed out on clearing even easy questions. The fans' concerns grew as returning champ Ben Goldstein also failed to guess 'Jackie Robinson' as the answer to the clue, "Helping minority kids go to college, the foundation named for this Brooklyn dodger was begun in 1973, a year after his death."

The other contestant was Tym Blanchard, a crypto investor from Nashville who failed to answer any clue on the episode and left with a negative total. Finally, the one who faced off Goldstein in Final Jeopardy was Janie Sullivan who is a scrum master from Illinois. All three contestants were quiet and made no guesses after the clue was shared.

Fans shocked as Jackie Robinson clue goes unanswered

While there have been instances before of no 'Jeopardy!' contestant knowing an answer, this was especially shocking for the fans. This was because Goldstein chose the $200 clue under the category 'Nonprofits' which is the first level prize for the easiest question. It only makes sense why the fans would express their frustration with the contestants on Twitter.

Many couldn't believe the contestants' failure. One of the fans while counting their screams of frustration, "Argh Jackie Robinson! First scream!" Another user had the same frustration and said, "Unlike the three contestants, ( and I know nothing about baseball ) I knew it was Jackie Robinson !!!!!!!" A 'Jeopardy!' viewer made a suggestion to the contestants while in disbelief in a tweet that said, "Watching #Jeopardy and seeing none of the contestants not know who Jackie Robinson is boggles my mind. Maybe they should stop learning about mythology and Shakespeare and learn about things that matter." Other viewers also pointed out the issue of not knowing the names and achievements of Black icons. One person quoted a previous tweet that said, "JEOPARDY be like: Host: The 2nd Earl of Winchester wrote this 1887 symphony about the tributary to the 42nd-largest river in Obscuristan Contestant: What is “Aksjducpïsudintal in A Minor?” I’ll take History for $100 Host: Name a Black person who did anything Contestants: [Blank]." Another tweet read, "And no one, not one contestant, could even chime in with Jackie Robinson today." Another viewer pointed out, "The day after Juneteenth, and all the Jeopardy contestants couldn’t get “Jackie Robinson?” Jesus Christ"
