Jennifer Lawrence is pregnant! A look at her love story with Cooke Maroney
Jennifer Lawrence fans have found another reason to rejoice as the actress is confirmed to be pregnant, for the first time. The 31-year-old 'Passengers' actress is expecting her first child with her husband Cooke Maroney. A representative for Lawrence confirmed the happy news to People on Wednesday, September 8, hours after the actress was papped in public with a very visible baby bump.
Lawrence has been married to gallerist Cooke Maroney since October 19, 2019. The 'Hunger Games' actress got hitched to her art dealer boyfriend in an extravagant star-studded event in Belcourt of Newport, a mansion in Rhode Island, after around eight months of engagement. The wedding was attended by the whos who of Hollywood including Emma Stone, Sienna Miller, Adele, Cameron Diaz, and Kris Jenner. Though both Lawrence and Maroney are notoriously private about their relationship and personal life, the happy couple has often been spotted in public sharing cute moments together.

Lawrence and Maroney first met in 2018 after being introduced by the actress's best friend Laura Simpson. Sparks started flying and the pair started dating soon, though taking extra care to keep everything under the wraps.
They were first linked with each other around June 2018 but both stayed tight-lipped about their relationship. They got engaged in an intimate ceremony in February 2019, following which Lawrence first spoke about him in public. She opened up about Maroney on Catt Sandler's podcast in June 2019. "I definitely wasn’t at a place where I was like, ‘I’m ready to get married'. I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other. We wanted to commit fully. He’s my best friend so I want to legally bind him to me forever. And fortunately the paperwork exists for such a thing. It’s the greatest. You find your favorite person in the planet and you’re like you can’t leave. So I wanted to take that offer," she gushed. Months later, reports surfaced that the couple has tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Rhode Island.
"He’s a great guy. He’s smart and funny, and I think really keeps her on her toes and he doesn’t treat her like a celebrity like the other boyfriends did,” an insider source revealed about Maroney soon after things started getting serious. The director of New York's Gladstone Gallery originally hails from Vermont, while JLaw is a native of Kentucky. He holds a degree in art history from New York University. His father James Maroney was also an art dealer who served as the Head of American Paintings At Christie's in Manhattan. Cooke Maroney himself has worked with famed painters like Carroll Dunham, sculptor Matthew Barney who used to date Björk, among others.
Now it seems life comes a full circle for the happy couple as they gear up to welcome baby Maroney-Lawrence soon in their lives.
